It has gotten much worse in the age of social media. Back in the day you had to at least work and make serious connections to earn a grift like Tony Robbins did. Now and days anyone can start their own self-help business online.

It has gotten even more easy given the current political environment. I remember a few years ago reading a story on some conservative news website about some black woman who pretended to be a conservative only to reveal that she was really a liberal after conning people of over six figures from donations they gave her.

Jack is just one of many people that do this. Few others will crash as badly as he has though.
