I was analysing her post and her reasoning, more than taking it at face value. Though I did think it was truer to the reason she posted it than I do now.
I don't think it's falling for her act, necessarily - I do think she's genuinely feeling down on herself. But I also think that there is something in what she posted to show that while being cancelled hurt her, the specific trigger for her flounce wasn't just another 'ally' calling her racist. More likely, it seems, she got a professional smackdown of some kind - probably from Nebula, probably from a white man - for her behaviour, and she lumped it in with the woke mob and a bad hangover to use as a reason to whine her way off the internet.
The Tim Scott video is a definite possibility; Lindsay defenders are pointing out he apparently asked what he should do with the video on Twitter, and that's what Lindsay was replying to - so it wasn't an attempt to deplatform out of nowhere. But she still was suggesting fully bowing down to the mob who were, like with her cancellation, aggressively looking for offence to take and would never be satisfied. She also has ties to Bearup, the woman who is being deplatformed for being an evil TERF Nazi, which means there's quite likely a personal angle to that response that we don't know about. Noam Blum was quoted about this earlier in the thread, and one of his points is that when someone is getting cancelled, all their enemies love to get in a chance to kick them while they're down under the guise of being a good person; it's quite likely that Lindsay was doing that to Bearup, got some pushback, and decided to crybully her way out of it.
So I don't think she's acting, but I agree with you that she's likely being disingenuous about exactly what caused this reaction. The theory would also explain why she self-flagellated for ever 'helping people', because what she thought was a tweet giving advice to someone was used against her, and also why (besides being deep in the cult and also having no introspection) she blames it all on the straight white men, because it's possible she actually experienced professional consequences, from a man, no less, for sending that tweet - consequences she didn't suffer at all from the various wokescolds who had cancelled her nine months previous.
And finally, it also shows that, unsurprisingly, troons and their handmaidens are the real source of all this trouble. Because a normal woman posted something years ago against troons beating up women, which goes against The Narrative, and even though she deleted the tweets years ago and Tim Scott didn't know about them, they still raged against the idea that anyone would work with her because OMG TERF NAZI REEEEEEEEE to the point they were attacking this video for existing because of her involvement. Which makes it extra-funny, because Lindsay is one of the biggest handmaidens out there to the point she still doesn't realise that it's not so much the progressive straight white men you have to worry about as the progressive straight white men who pretend they're women who are really ready to throw you under the bus at a moment's notice. When people have posted her defenders on Twitter, there's an awful lot of straight white men in that group, and few if any troons. Really hmm-worthy...
