The 4chan mods aren't held accountable to anyone but themselves. They regularly break their own rules and ignore the ones they don't like and selectively enforce them. The current administrator doesn't seem involved with the site at all outside of harvesting the user data to sell. A board called /qa/ was opened at his request for user feedback, the mods instead decided to start ignoring the board but left it up and allowed it to be spammed as some snarky "own" to their critics. Left in that state other boards regularly raided it, and eventually /qa/ decided to strike back and do a revenge raid on /lgbt/ with anti-trans spam. The mods have left /qa/ shuttered and no one can post on it.

Offtopic but an amusing anecdote about how arrogant these stupid assholes are and how their arrogance blew up in their faces. Although perhaps it can offer some perspective to how they would react to DMCAs from Goldman.
