Cashiering at a busy place like Costco might be a little too stressful for him. With his learning disability, he might not be able to count the money fast enough in a fast paced environment.

Theatre companies generally like to hire people who either have a theatre degree or have been on the crew of a production before, which I don't think he has.

Kent isn't anywhere close to representing a generation of black males. No matter what race, there's always going to be the oddballs that stand-out compared to others. I'd say people like Kent are a huge minority when it comes to young black men in their 20's. The emphasis is entirely on Kent and the way he views women and the world.

Because race is relavent.

We races have different role models and cultures, whitey look up to ceos and scientists, niggaz look up to ballers and gangstas. In white culture you can get rich by using your brain. Kent has serious learning disabilities, he wouldn't be able to pass all of the math classes needed for a computer science degree, being white wouldn't change that.

While I agree that race is a big deal in this country, being a "loveshy" has nothing to do with race. The aspects of Kent that we're discussing in this thread have nothing to do with race. If he was white, the same things would be said here.
