The biggest issues is that the left doesn't really care about their "values". A good example is comedy. A normal white guy makes a joke about women? "Cancel him!" Hollywood Jew James Gunn make "jokes" over and over about doing sexual shit with kids, even joking about anally raping his daughter? "He's just a little edgy! Who cares?! What are you, a snowflake?" A movie shows some lady's tits? "Sexism! Male gaze!" Fucking Cuties is put on Netflix "You right-wingers just hate female empowerment! You're so over reactive!"

I think the only way it works is if you pose as a "progressive" yourself and do it. The left is so sick, that they'll defend pedo movies like Cuties to "own" the conservatives saying it's a gross movie. The left only care if they are being attacked by someone that they think is more left-wing than them.

It's probably true. Remember the rape rap and the other edgy stuff she did back in the day? Remember how she married a wealthy white guy who works for Elon Musk? Wokeness has always been a job to her, and she always had this subtle "I'm too cool/good for these people" vibe when she was out of character at Channel Awesome.

She also jumped on the trans rights train right when it was reaching peak popularity, and the person who brought her aboard was Contrapoints, who had a bigger following than her at the time and was a major internet cool kid. Before that there wasn't a trace of tranny in anything Lindsay related.

Something going on with Mara Wilson in all this? I saw people sperging about her “liking tweets” and apparently that’s a bad thing. I know she and Lindsey had a falling out (apparently hot dog girl was even too woke for Matilda) but is Mara celebrating Lindsey’s downfall or something?

Mara and Lindsay used to be friends and Mara was in some of her videos. Then they had a falling out which has been attributed to 1) Lindsay telling Mara she wasn't really bi when Mara confided in her that she thought she was (both women claim to be bi but have only been involved with males) and 2) Lindsay and Mara were at a coffeeshop where some random made an unspecified racist comment in their earshot and Lindsay threw a public virtuesperg tantrum about it which embarrassed Mara.

There have also been claims that Nick Hansen, Lindsay's husband and Elisa's brother, is Mara's ex and that caused some tension. Mara has made some potentially shady comments over the years about these things without directly naming Lindsay. After the Raya Incident, Mara liked some tweets that were unfavorable to Lindsay, which Lindsay's simps noticed and publicized. Lindsay specifically talked about that in her Mask Off video and said that their friendship was irreparable but she shouldn't have told Mara she wasn't bi. Idpol gatekeeping on the surface but catty bullshit underneath. To my knowledge, Mara has not commented or maliciously liked any tweets about Lindsay's goodbye thesis.

I honestly reckon that both the Left and the Right are all too ready to weaponise 'wokeness' and take offence at the opposition if they think it will give them an advantage. A race to see who can appear more noble and lofty than the other side. Whichever side it comes from, well - I won't say that it stinks, entirely...but it needs to be regarded with scepticism and caution.

Terry Gilliam - one of the most brilliant, imaginative, humanitarian film makers of our time - makes a few jokey, grumpy-old-git remarks and he's suddenly a loathsome transphobic bigot who's literally worse than Hitler? What the fuck happened here?

Whatever happened, it's closely related to the cause of what's led so many simps to rally round and give their favourite Wine Aunt thousands more per month for doing fuck-all. Literally throwing money at someone who's giving nothing back, all in the name of Woke. Whatever that's supposed to even be anymore.

LMFAO. This is so unintentionally revealing about the social lives of woke people. Mara seems like she's probably an okay person IRL, but part of that is cause she doesn't behave like she does online. When Lindsay told Mara she wasn't bi, it's cause Lindsay faked being bi for clout and assumed Mara was just confused by libshit glamorization of teh gay and psychoanalytical babble (exactly what conservatives think about why so many people in the younger generation are identifying as something other than straight).

In short, it's all the same phony trying to measure up to impossible expectations and labyrinthine social rules that socially left wing people were supposed to liberate us all from. They spent half a century infiltrating every major institution and subverting them, violating practically every social more and normalizing it, and for what? To build different ones that have left people more neurotic and unhappy than ever. They didn't liberate shit. People aren't any more free to express themselves honestly.

And poor little Lindsay is tired of playing the game. I contend that that's what this is really about. Not that all these people bullied her about her snarking the wrong way about a Disney movie, but that the constant grind of having to respond to them in the "correct" way and manage this phony persona that her life has become has gotten to be too much for her.

Wine Aunt addressed some of this in her two hour bitchfest a few months ago.

Tl;DR is that they used to be friends, but then Lindsay accused Mara of being a fake bisexual and that she was too much of an annoying wokescold even for Ellis. The fact that Lindsay married one of Mara's ex boyfriends probably was a contributing factor as well.

Since then, anytime Drunky Chick gets hung out to dry on social media, Mara will drop a bunch of Likes to let Lindsay know that Matilda still hates her guts

I lost a ton of respect for Mara when she drank the kool-aid and it is a shame because she had potential, but threw it all away. The only thing she is known for now is "that Matilda girl" or "say, aren't you friends with Ellis?"

"That Matilda girl" is still more of a legacy than Lindsay Ellis will have, unless Axiom's End gets rediscovered in a couple decades for all the wrong right reasons and the alien dragon chicken romance becomes a meme.

if this is true (and there's probably some truth to it), it's sad she doesn't have the balls to be who she really is. She probably would be able to grow an audience if she went all in on shitting on her fromer friends and the bullshit of catering to the woke.
although that is very hollywood of her, since I've read on more than one occassion that lots of stars play the libtard game but have views otherwise
