That only costs like $200 on those shit buy subscribers sites. Youtube would remove those eventually, but Phil doesn't care.
That's $200 will takes away from gacha, I mean bills. Phil won't update his PC from Windows 7 to 10, so he can use that streamdeck that dent-head donated to him instead of that fucking noisemaker. I'm sure he'll contact OICuck behind the scenes to make a bunch of dummy accounts, so he can reach his goal. Low effort, maximum profit.

Hi, Phil!

That only costs like $200 on those shit buy subscribers sites. Youtube would remove those eventually, but Phil doesn't care.
I was just talking in the chat earlier that the way longer route to circumvent this and keep those numbers permanently up would to basically create entire new accounts using throwaway emails and making them look as legit as possible to avoid YouTube taking them down (such as making sure they're all unique names, with a fake back up email and as much non-important information filled out) would prevent them from being removed off the platform.

However aside from boosting the sub numbers for Phil's arbitrary goal, this wouldn't really do much at all in the grand scheme of things (actually you know what, Phil would claim that this is all part of his organic growth on YouTube now he's finally been working towards). It essentially adds more dead weight to his channel numbers, and he has like, 98% of the those subs being dead accounts. They don't add any views, don't give any contributions and to make this situation even more pointless, the trolls accounts have already been inflating that sub number anyway, since they have to sub in order to comment in his chat.

Didn't see it mentioned, but Phil has lowered the sub goal from 365 to 350.
Phil seriously believes that when "Youtube gets their shit together and implements gifted memberships" that he's going to maintain seven, eight or even nine hundred members a month.
He honest to god believes the few whales he has left are going to gift and sub bomb him 600+ subscriptions every single month.
C'mon man snap out of it Phil.

You forget that he will also expect them to keep tipping the usual amount as well, since YT takes a cut or there's a month turnaround or some such faggotry.

If we ignore May that in most ways was a special situation the average tips/month is $6109 and the tips he gets seems to be pretty steady. I believe that this is pretty much what he is able to milk out of his wheelchairs and whales.

So I agree if he expect his money creatures to "gift membership bomb" his lazy ass that money would have to be taken from his tips and maybe to a lesser extend Super Berries.

Again Phil is living in a place filled with unicorns, rainbows and gummy bears when his business is the subject.
@Comma @actually @Piece of Peace Please correct me if I'm missing something and are way off base with this.

Edit: @Kosher Dill I believe (but might be wrong as I didn't follow the money at all back then) that those people that floated all the Twitch subs didn't really tip that much, so it's an either or situation.

Why not? Wasn't he getting something like that on Twitch from one or two whales?
If the avenue opens up to them, you can guarantee immediately that Phil is going to shamelessly plug the gifted membership option as he knows that it's the perfect way to inflate his member numbers.

Aside from him being desperate for more youtube money, this would basically confirm at that point that Phil is completely aware the high number of members once people can gift subs is a result of other people's cash and not the fact that all those people with a memberships are all real genuine "fans", the mask would be off, because he's been bringing this up for so long now as one of the only negatives of streaming on YouTube.

That wouldn't stop some troll accounts and ironic fans slipping by and getting sent a membership here and there, it could mean they can blend in the chat more and it would be more reminiscent of his Twitch days where you might have a chat full of crowns but a large portion of them could be trolls.

DSP income and whaling:
DSP income 2021:
  1. Twitch $19,655 (13,20%)
  2. Patreon $4,266 (2,86%)
  3. YouTube $46,087 (30,97%)
  4. Tips $78,794 (52,97%)
Total $148,802

So how whale dependent is DSP? And what is a whale?
For this I have decided that anybody tipping $170 or more is a whale, why that amount? I just took the price of subscribing to the medium Netflix service for a year and used that.

Is that a good measure? Fucked if I know but that is what I'm going with until we can all agree what defines a whale.

So. Whales tipped a grand total of $43,928 in 2021. That is 28,5% of his total income, and 55,75% of all tips.

And grand total of 62 people made this whale list, but as we all know the vortex is full of socks and LARP'ers so the real number is most likely less.

This is pretty much just a long winded and tismy way to support the idea that DSP has pretty much maxed out his current whales, thus I would argue that if we get gifted memberships on YouTube DSP will need to get new whales or take a hit in his tip income

Edit 1: Again any mistakes are mine, and mine alone. Tips tracker rocks.

Edit 2: Graphs 'n shit:

Who are the top 5 contributors of last year? It would be interesting to see how much the 5 biggest whales contributed to his overall tips amount.
Screenshot_6.png

These exceptional individuals is behind 10,4% of Phils total income.

EDIT: And remember with all the LARPing and sock shit going on, at least one on this list might be giving more.

EDIT 2: These 5 are just around $800 short of paying Phils entire mortgage, so in a way they are paying his "rent".

It's kinda makes sense to see Gary BKK there, it was clearly someone's sock that they were using to help reach the tips goal when one account couldn't do it alone, once it wore out It's usefulness you never saw it again. Jaxx Raxxor should have kept that money not only for a car but also for the maintenance costs as well, instead of handing over $2,458 to pigroach, the idiot probably doesn't even value the money he even gave, but it would have been the more responsible actual mature adult thing to do.

So that's $15,447 out of $78,794 donated by 5 people. Not going to lie, I thought it would be higher.
I know when I hang out in reeeestreams we all joke a lot about Phil being propped up by 5 whales.
But further back in this thread I did some tism shit about the top whales, and that made it clear that it's not just 5 people.

But there are a number of games that is for sure carried by 1 sped and some have maybe 2 speds doing the lifting.

But to me at least there seems to be a clear shift away from 50BB and over to a more whale based income. People that have tracked Phils income for much longer might be able to either confirm or deny this theory.

And again 13% of this years income is holdover from Twitch, that will not be there in 2022, and to me having 10% of your income from 5 mentally unstable people doesn't strike me as a smart or future proof thing.

And we can see that Phil knows as well, because we have gotten quite a few speeches about "having to rely on 1-2 people with hail Mary tips".

Edit: @detractorzer0 I believe so. I think @Piece of Peace did something like that at some point. But it's next to impossible to get that 100% correct, and trolls mostly superchat. I only really dug into tips this time, I might go over the super Berries at some point.

Any way we can find out how many tips have troll comments attached to them? I would love to see what percentage of his income is from people who hate say they.

since all his whales are unemployed, government assistance dentheads and have no real concept of money and what it's worth, i don't think they realize that 150k a year is way above middle class. they probably think it's poverty level
Even last year when he made 120k or some shit he alone made 50% more than the median household did in Renton. Unfortunately I can't find the updated numbers from 2020 anymore for some reason and it seems impossible to find numbers for 2021, it only gives me the outdated median household income of 77k from 2019. Still, I remember that it was 82k in 2020, so let's say that because of that the median income in Renton in 2021 was 87k, Phail made 58% more money by himself in 2021 than what the median household makes in Renton.

The conclusion is thus: If we look at Phail's income and compare it to the average income in the US, pigga's upper middle class, however to be fair we have to compare his income to the town he lives in... and he's still comfortably sitting in the middle class by his own income alone. I didn't even put Khet's income in there, which while it's probably shit, would make the gap between what they're making and the median household in Renton even wider.
