I put blackout curtains in my bedroom recently to make my room darker, because I work during nighttime and sleep during the day. It cost me 40 bucks for a curtain rod and curtains, and 5 minutes of time setting them up.

Well, he eliminated about $140k of credit debt through his bankruptcy, so his only bills were monthly ones, food/liquor, and his federal tax payment plan(s). So yeah, it should have been. The bank leaks showed, though, that instead he pisses away every cent he receives.

lazier still, you could go to a dollar store and buy some blackout cardboard to just stick in the window to completely block the sun, and simply use a knife to cut it down the way you need it to be to fit properly

this would cost maybe $20 tops, and even that is probably wayyyy too high an estimate

In a weird way I think Phil mostly caps himself with his business approach. The way he begs is pretty much his tried and true tactic at this point. And as long as it keeps working and is profitable, he will keep doing it. Its what Phil has done his entire internet career. He never innovates or evolves, just rides whichever gravy train he's on until the wheels fall off. Honestly I think if he invested in himself wisely with what he makes currently he could make twice as much as he does now. And lets be honest, making roughly 100-150k a year like he does for the following he has the amount of time he has been doing this is still pretty low.

So little happens in his life anymore that he has nothing else to talk about. He will be telling the same stories until he quits/dies, and he'll continue to retcon them either to try to cover his crappy behavior or because his gin-soaked brain mixes up basic details.
