None of those games will be worth ""buying"" then. If it's even possible to pseudo own them and it's not just all renting through a subscription service. Most of what Square puts out in general is worthless though at this point.

Name me a AAA gaming company that Tencent doesn't have its fingers in. Not saying that's a good thing but Nintendo aren't the only ones chasing China bux. Also I don't know for sure but I think that dealing with Tencent is the only way to get their games released in China.

Square doesn't even produce anything worth a shit so I don't get why people care they're gonna put some dumb monkey pictures in their games. You're never going to get a new Deus Ex or Legacy Of Kain game, just Final Fantasy XCVIIIMLVXIII until the end of time except now you can buy pictures of whatever spiky haired femboy MC is in this one to fight over crystals.

I think the Ubisoft NFTs already failed.

I have no fucking idea how the others will fare, this is either going to be an 800 page epic on the downfall of digital rights and the rise of brute forcing culpability for digital products or a weird fucking footnote where people thought NFTs were like figit spinners but money.

STALKER 2 backed down. Ubisoft didn’t, but it’s been an absolute failure in every sense of the word. No one is buying them.
