Look out for this in AL too in 22. Shelby is retiring and the main people in the primary seem to be Katie Britt, who is a protege of Shelby, and Mo Brooks, who’s been eyeing a spot since at least that shit with Roy Moore. I’m not overly sure of how much of a RINO Britt is, but I do know Moore jumps on the Trumpy shit with no prompting and was one of the guys that crazy person at the baseball game was gunning for.

I've seen quite a few Britt billboards and they've been here for a long time. In contrast I haven't seen anything from Mo Brooks. I have looked at her website and I don't think she's super RINO. She's new to major political office as a candidate so it's hard to tell, but Richard Shelby seems to like Trump (voted to acquit regarding impeachment twice). Her twitter reveals several posts in favor of Trump and his policies. Interestingly as of November she is now accepting donations via crypto...and it looks like she may only be using 1% of her power in doing so.

Who said anything about the House? Run for dog catcher or some other position for which no one is running, or where the competition is some digusting boomer. Just get your ass out there, be as normal as you can, and get experience.

I agree on the idea of challenging any normally unopposed election. But it’s just to ensure that your opponent has as few opportunities to become comfortable in their position, that her than turning any authority you become in control of into your personal fiefdom.


Plus, if the average politician can do the job, you can make enough compensation from what is effectively a part time optional job. Hell you could even campaign on a promise to avoid doing the job. It worked for chesa boudin

At this point, everything the Biden administration is doing is transparently to keep the stock market humming along. And by that metric alone, the economy is doing very well indeed. The problem is that viewing the economy purely through the stock market is exceptionally reductionist. Ordinarily, it'd be bad. He's all but thrown his hat in with the Republicans after the pressure his own party put on him to commit political suicide by getting in line with their agenda. If the Republicans win big this year (and no reason to think they won't), I fully anticipate him going hard R since that D next to his name will be nothing but a liability.
