Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

"Then the only value left is dollar value - the stock market. And we'll do whatever it takes to keep it humming along. Even COVID. Especially COVID."
Fauci literally came out and said that all the changes they were making was to make sure people could get back to supporting the economy as soon as possible. Remember when Trump's administration would at least pay lip service to the mental toll lockdown was having on people? Remember when there was some discussion of the health and wellbeing of the American people which wasn't driven by an administration in the process of surrendering lashing out at all of us on its way out? I do.

Pretty much. "Why aren't you spending and working and making us money, plebs? If you don't get back to work my pension won't be worth shit thanks to all the money-printing the Fed will have to do to keep things propped up."

More babbling from one of the idiot retired generals. Fucking disgrace to the uniform, he is. 🖕 🖕 🖕 🖕 🖕

These assholes have done less while in uniform for 40+ years than I did as a drunken enlistedman in a month.

At least I helped support the local economy by getting drunk and banging that midget hooker at the end of the bar.

Both the general and the mypillow guy are retarded.

The difference being, if mypillow guy gets his way, I have a pillow and he has more money for whenever he falls off the wagon.

The general getting his way means shipping off millions of young men to die in a pointless proxy wars to own the commies/terrorists/insurrectionists

It’s stuff like this that has convinced me that the upper echelons of government are controlled entirely by globohomo.

Way back when, knew some great generals. Back then there seemed to be more great flag officers than duds. Now the reverse is true. Just glad to be long retired. Glad these chumps are long retired, too. They can talk all they want, but once you retire, unless you have pals still in at high levels, anything you say is just verbal masturbation. And these retired officers who get hired by civilian companies? Unless they buy into the company, they tend to be let go once their connections in the military go away.

Oh, I'd forgotten about the whole mypillow thing. Seeing this headline quote ‘Stop listening to the pillow guy’ without the needed context made me think the ex-general had gone off the deep end.

I knew some good ones too. Hell, I served under Stormin' Norman. Met the general in charge of V Corps and 3rd CosCom more than once when they came out to inspect the site.

Funny thing is, looking at these guys, you know they were duds and probably could tell they were duds back then.

Of course, the fact so many of them have airborne, air assault, ranger, and SF tabs, when you honestly can't picture them getting into those schools, brings back memories of certain rumors.

See, you'd run into these fucking weenies with the Big Four, and you'd ask "How the FUCK did this faggot beat me to get to Airborne?" when the school admission was fucking tight (At one point you needed 270 on your PT and a letter of recommendation from your CO, your BCO, and your Brigade CO and a 95 or higher on your SQT to go from Europe to Airborne unless you were infantry) as hell and nobody could get a slot.

But there were these rumors. A lot of time, guys with one or two or all of the Big Four would mention it. That there was some weird 'fast track' course for certain officers. Just like it was rumored 5th SF out of Lewis had this fucking unit setup where these fucking duds would get put to jerk each other off without getting in the way of the actual work.

It didn't help that twice there was an enlisted who went to Airborne and Air Assault the same time as an officer claimed he did, but swore that the officer wasn't there. Guy from the Ranger detachment actually called out a Captain on what class he was in and the SSG started calling the Captain a fucking liar right in public. That the Captain wasn't there. That was some snake on snake action right there.

Seeing these guys, really makes me wonder if for once rumor control was right, that there was a dick sucker's path.

Still, if everyone remembers right, one of the "Three Top Generals" has exactly six different medals. That's it. Six. After 40 years. And, IIRC, the other two have nothing but shammer and bunk humper awards. Nothing real.

I know it sounds weird, but if they've been in since 1988 or before, and you look at their ribbon stack, and you don't see the Kuwait Liberation Medal, you can tell right there, 9/10 times, that they've hidden from active deployments their entire career.

I agree on the idea of challenging any normally unopposed election. But it’s just to ensure that your opponent has as few opportunities to become comfortable in their position, that her than turning any authority you become in control of into your personal fiefdom.
RE Fiefdoms: while it's a bad idea because it gives libtard institutions (which is all of them) an easy excuse to take potshots at you, as long as you benefit your base they won't care.
Plus, if the average politician can do the job, you can make enough compensation from what is effectively a part time optional job. Hell you could even campaign on a promise to avoid doing the job. It worked for chesa boudin
Let's say you run for DA or a similar position. You could run on not prosecuting any crimes against anyone who voted for Biden. Payback is a bitch.
