you know, I stumbled over that '375 trans people were murdered in hate crimes in 2021'. That seems like a way too high amount, still laughable compared to the overall world population of course, yet much higher than any numbers I've ever seen.
So I tried googling and while there is one article I could find (on forbes) that also mentions 375, there are also other articles mentioning a much lower number of around 50. However, after sacrificing my adblocker so I could read the forbes article, I eventually managed to find the source, a list of all trans victims in 2021 compiled by some pro trans organisation.
After skimming through it, I can't say for sure if its actually 375 because the entries are not numbered, but it seems to check out. To noone's surprise however, most of the victims were 'sex workers', most in South America. And many cases have little detail. While many of them appear to have been murdered, yes, the attackers are either unknown or there is no detail as to whether or not this was specifically a hate crime due to them being trans. In fact, zero of the entries I've seen have such explicit evidence. Some just say 'was found dead at home' or 'not reported'. They even include at least one troon who was stabbed in self defense after allegedly trying to rape someone. Fucking lol?
Now, I am not saying that NONE of those were hate crimes because someone just wanted to specifically kill a tranny, but there's literally no proof that ALL or even many of these were hate crimes either or had literally anything to do with them being trans. Also, what does a black comedian have to do with the fact that men in South America just love their drive by shootings? Noone knows. How is it JK Rowling's fault that sex workers are generally at much higher risk of being murdered anyway? It's a mystery.

It suffers from selective reporting (as usual), tho. Mentions that the youngest mtf murdered was 13 years old, doesn't mention she was murdered by a 17 year old that she was soliciting money after their sexual encounter (so, this poor child was engaging in child prostitution and got killed by the teen John that didn't want to give the money, but the trans places are only reporting "This poor trans child was violently murdered by transphobia!", no mention of child prostitution.
I also can't compare right now to the number of ("cis") women, specially prostitutes, because it's not as easy to google it (there isn't a group keeping score of every single death the same way), This site I've shared before has some statistics tho (Infographic from last year in english, not sure if I've shared, I don't think they've updated for this year yet)

What I really want is for someone to contrast these numbers with, as you say, 'cis' men for example, especially gay men, for example. I'd like to see any kind of comprehensive comparison of how much transphobia actually plays a role. Because at best that is a very wishy washy claim. Yes, every murder is tragic and should not be happening, it's just that they really don't place as high in the opression olympics as they would like to.

It specifically says these stories were typically written from the POV of Allie soldier POWs, a distinctly different dynamic than if they were written from the POV of a Jew who has watched his entire family be sent to the gas chambers, but hey, who am I to stop a troon from going off.
In any case, erotic/pornographic fiction is just that - fiction. And a lot of it is unrealistic and - dare I say - "problematic." Lots of people have dabbled in crossdressing or imagined what it is like to be the opposite sex, to be raped or be a rapist, and no doubt to be dominated by something or someone of objectively evil intent - among other, more disturbing fantasies that I am not going to get into. The key difference is that these are fantasies, and healthy people recognize them as such and leave them in the realm of fantasy. Only troons imagine themselves as animated blow up dolls, then attempt to actually live that as reality while insisting the rest of the world play along with it.

Peggy is definitely a gender non conforming woman, something that seems to be even more painful given she has grown up and still lives in the south where there is even more emphasis on women picking up traditional female gender roles.

Especially in the epside "Peggys Pageant Fever" Where Peggy has to all but admit that she cannot hack it in a world where her worth is based on beauty and feminine charms. When Peggy feels liek she cant relate she basically narc rage quits and walks away.

Funnily, a not insignificant fraction of those cases where the perpetrator is unknown would have been committed by other troons, or else other troons would have been involved in instigating the crime. This could have been due to a dispute over money (money troons are heavily indebted to other troons though contra western narratives they're not exactly poor, because prostitution pays so much more than any other lower class job), or it could have been something just plain retarded; a dispute over a man, some dumb insult/gossip or any other perceived slight.
Worth noting that these HSTS prostitutes tend to live together, or in very close proximity to each other and form tight though very, very fractious social groups -- this is actually important to the story of how young homos get socialized into being troons. And like in all other cases, people who get murdered are often murdered by those around them.
