Since he's not actually gonna change anything about himself and just insist that he has, he's basically just doing the equivalent of moving the living room furniture around a bit and insisting everything is different now.

Most people don't know him as "the king of hate". The moniker isn't the issue, they know him as DSP, the guy who masturbated live for his viewers. And all the other shit he's done. Unless he is willing to completely drop the "legacy" and completely start from scratch in anonymity, he will never have a chance to escape his reputation.

So yeah, I'm 99% sure that he got denied the Twitch Partnership. That's why he's trying to change this shit now, because trying to say that you're not a 'hateful person' while you have 'King of Hate' plastered all over the place it's kinda hard huh?. It's possible that Super Thanks might have influenced this too.

And yet he never got that public apology he DEMANDED from twitch. If he is really trying to go back, he is subtlely admitting that he really did something wrong.

Of course, he won't care about any of that, he's only desperate for a certain whale to gift thousands of subs, because the current system with YT memberships is proving that he has had no "organic" growth and it can't even be faked.

He used to harp on how Twitch banned him without telling him why. There haven't been any developments on that front and yet now he acts like he knows exactly what happened. He truly believes now that Twitch grew tired of the trolls mass reporting. As I expected, his suspicions have turned into facts over time.

First part is proof that he hasn't changed like he claims. We all knew it but nice to know that if he wasn't such a pussy (and wasn't whipped by the platforms he depends on) he'd still be using the N-bomb and making all the classic "jokes" he used to make. Might've made him slightly watchable.

He claimed after his ban (for the stationary mushmouth fuck up) he was told why he was removed from the partnership program: "hateful slurs", which he denied at the time. So he's either lying now or he's lying then, or both.

It's the Twitch thing. He's done the same rant denying it so many times that he's convinced himself that he was dropped because of what he said 10 years ago, not cursing his viewers out on a daily basis. So he thinks that if he changes his "moniker" he's get back on Twitch.

One thing that really stuck out to me during Phil's mega retcon today is the fact that he states he has evidence FROM Twitch that one of the—if not chief—deciding factors was his 2010 Nazi video from Dead Space 2 when they reached the decision to remove him from the partnership program. This is, from a legal standpoint, pretty much impossible.

Twitch can remove you for any reason, but what is a more accurate statement is that, like most companies that do at-will employment, they can remove you "without reason". When a company provides you with a reason for termination, they're opening themselves up to potential litigation. In the case of at-will employment, the best option is to provide clear-cut evidence of a policy being violated to warrant termination. The second-best option is to say, "we felt like letting you go". The worst option is to provide a bad reason. That third scenario is where companies fuck themselves.

It's because of this that we can reasonably conclude that Phil is, as per usual, full of shit. Twitch's policy of penalizing individuals for off-platform behavior wasn't implemented until January of 2018, a full eight years after that video was made, and thus the video itself would be exempt from being a violation as people were not being penalized for stuff that transpired before that TOS change took place. More importantly, that video existed for almost five whole years prior to Phil even making a Twitch account to begin with. At this point Phil had his own slew of people that hated him to the point where they'd send shit in to companies, like Twitch, simply to "fuck him over". At the time that Twitch made Phil partner, they were still very much growing and still had a lot of in person interaction from staff members that did manual reviews of stuff. There is no fucking way the video wasn't sent to them, repeatedly, during the time that Phil was applying for partnership. In spite of this, Twitch decided to partner Phil.

To sum up: Twitch knew about the 2010 video before making him partner and partnered him anyway. They didn't use that same video as an excuse five years after partnering him to remove him from the program because that would open them up to litigation. They would've just told him to fuck off. This story is made up from whole cloth and Phil's still a terrible fucking liar.
