It reminds me of the time I played with a team that had 6 demomen all wearing executioner hoods and bandanas painted white, and conscientious objectors emblazened with Swatsikas or KKK symbols.

There wasn't a site more funny than watching those demos charge out of spawn and getting furries and troons on both teams crying for them to be votekicked.

I wish I had demos enabled, because I was just in a Skial server with some squeaker fucking with a harmonica at 2AM and I'm 99% sure I heard his dad beat his ass.
Lol which one, I used to frequent the surf and 2Fort serves cuz good connection and decent service. I might know who you're talking about since I started using them again.

I love when they added picking weapons up. The spergfits that the legitimate autists who bought Australian weapons would have when you pick them up was incredible.

I just remember following a guy around on a server once and he kept saying shit like “I know your poverty inventory will never see an aussis rocket launcher but you don’t have to follow me” and when he died I picked up his rocket launcher and he screamed on mic “Wait a minute, that’s not your item, that’s stealing!” And he started a vote kick which instantly passed bc he was buddy-buddy with the other spergs

I remember seeing a compilation video on YouTube of Australium owners having autistic fits but I could never find it again

Wow, are those TF2 players that much of special snowflakes in regards to how they value cosmetic weapons?

It also makes me wonder what other kinds of autism is solely existent in TF2 (and maybe Valve's other cosmetic-heavy games in CSGO and DOTA 2), compared to other FPS games.

A lot of them threw bitch fits because they didn't get the anti-cheating halo, which was a reward Valve gave to players who didn't use some afk software to farm drops. Because of this, they started to target players who had them.

Some servers (Jiggly's Fun House?) were banning people for simply having the halo in their inventory. The halocaust (as some called it at the time) was so early in TF2's history that most don't even know about it but the response was truly one of the most spergy events I've ever witnessed.

CS:GO isn’t nearly as autistic about it. Back in 2015-2018 when the game peaked and those kiddie gambling sites were everywhere, yeah there was a massive and retarded trading community. DOTA is infinitely more autistic than Tf2 in almost every way, probably due to the higher concentration of trannies and other faggots. Tf2 has always been kind of faggy about virtual items, and still is today. I shameful admit that back in 2011 when trading was new, I spent every dime of my allowance/money from mowing lawns and walking dogs on one hat. It was a burning flames baseball helmet for the scout. I could probably go and look up exactly which one it is right now because backpack tf tracks the history of an items owners. Man. $250 dollars. An entire summer of work wasted.

I don’t mean to post twice in a row but I think I’ll provide some context of what Tf2 has looked like over the years. A timeline of sorts. That way we can have a better discussion about the community.

Early Days
- 2007 (nothing exceptional)
- 2008 (first few updates, some of the best)
- 2009 (first hats, first annual Halloween special)
Peak Era
- 2010 (excellent updates, golden wrench shit)
- 2011 (June-October 2011 was arguably tf2’s peak)
- 2012 (Game is growing but aging. MvM released)
Fading Era
- 2013 (Tf2 is old. Still gud updates & community)
- 2014 (Still old but gud. Second best time to play Tf2)
- 2015 (Tf2 is going to shit. Tranny & Fag boom)
Pre-Death Era
- 2016 (Game is old and losing steam.)
- 2017 (Final Major Update. Tenth anniversary)
Modern Era
- 2018 (Dead)
- 2019 (Dead, shitty)
- 2020 (Dead, shitty)
- 2021 (Dead, shitty and faggy)
- 2022 (Dead, shitty, faggy and hopeless)

TF2 is only enjoyable on community servers.

Casual is such a fucking joke. Your rank means nothing because it's not a reflection of skill, more of just time spent on casual servers. Leveling up doesn't reward you with anything, yet valve thinks giving 500 extra XP for staying in game after being autobalanced is enough motivation to not leave the game. Teams are lopsided half the time, bots and trannies infest nearly every server, and good luck trying to find a match on a map that isn't dustbowl, 2fort, turbine, harvest, badwater, upward, or hightower.

Thisthisthis.
Other than having a colorful medal that people like to brag about I don't get the wider appeal of casual, especially in its current state. Community servers are much more fun imo because you have the option to either play the game or hang out with the other people in the game, or both, and there aren't any bots to ruin the fun. Back before the whole bot shit happened I did have a few fun moments in casual games, (like when I caught a perfectly timed backstabbed engi and crit punched spy kill train in spectate and forgot to hit replay :( ) but it just isn't as consistently a good time as community servers are.

The sad part about all this is because TF2 is still a solid game, it definitely isnt like insanely popular like it was back in the day but the fact it still has an active userbase is crazy.

If valve just kept updating it maybe the playerbase wouldnt of devolved into schitzos and trannies and bronies.

Trannies and fags had their eyes on the game since 2014 when the internet was starting to accept their existence. Tf2 was perfect for those types because you could play for hours and forget about your terrible life. And updates were never gonna fix or save shit. Any game that survives past ten years has been alive too long. The ancient Chinese would claim divine mandate when a dynasty was overthrown. Once a dynasty grew old, it was only natural that leadership would grow corrupt and weak. Subsequently, heaven would revoke their divine mandate for another dynasty to revolt and take its place, and repeat the cycle. Games that last longer than ten years need to be single player sandbox/story driven games with multiplayer features, or otherwise fucking masterpieces. Minecraft is still around because you can play it alone and have an amazing time by yourself. Half-Life 2 is still wildly popular because the story and gameplay have been the indistry gold-standard since it’s release. Garry’s Mod is still alive because it’s a sandbox mod to hl2. Single player shit that’s good sticks around. Multiplayer games should have an expected average lifespan of 5-7 years. After that point, if it’s still going, it’s either fucking amazing or just really lucky. Tf2 is arguably an exceptional piece of gaming, and I’d call it one of the best shooters of all time. That being said, it’s gone on long enough. It should have died before 2016 really. That way it would go out with some dignity. Now it’s just gonna slowly fade into obscurity before the last person uninstalls it and Valve shuts the whole thing down.

Unfortunately, even Valve is doing the bare minimum to keep TF2 up, and will probably let it go down that slow and gradual fade into obscurity, so they can continue to milk whales with more hats, and collecting Valve tax on each hat transaction. DOTA 2 and CSGO are also going down a similar path, although Valve has incentive to keep them more updated, to cash in on that sweet E-Sports money.

I don't remember if Valve has ever shut down one of their own games for good though, given that Artifact and Underlords are still playable, even though Valve said that they have given up on Artifact for good, and there are signs that they have done the same with Underlords (the end date of their Battle Pass was quietly changed from 2021, to 2031), even though they haven't said anything about giving up on that game, yet.
