Philosophy Tube / Oliver Lennard / Oliver "Olly" Thorn / Abigail Thorn - Breadtube's Patrick Bateman.

I'm just gonna leave this right here, if only because of the thumbnail...

Oh! Wait!

I did find it funny that Blumenthal referred to Abighoul as being attractive, but... this is ostensibly a left leaning program with left leaning people...
Sorry, nearly a week late, but it never ceases to amaze me how much more masculine Olly boy looks now he's trooned out. That jawline is something else.

It's genuinely hilarious that troons think men accept them any more than women do. If British women don't like trannies, Olly, then British men fucking hate them.
I doubt they actually think that, I think they're just doing the usual broadening their battle lines by going after other protected classes in the wokesphere the same way "BIPOC" was coined so black people could differentiate themselves from and start condemning other non-white people.

Average reaction to watching a Breadtube video:

From Part 2 of King Critical's response to Philosophytube's Transphobia video. Genuinely a great watch because he ends up gradually losing it throughout the video because of how inane Olly's arguments are. There is a part where Olly talks about "violence" that trans people have faced from gender critical activists and his examples are (1) activists handing out gender critical leaflets at a pride parade, (2) trying to keep trans people out of certain spaces (I'm assuming banning TIMs from women-only spaces, which is entirely reasonable), (3) a fight at Hyde Park (which seems like a TRA fighting radfems instead of the other way around?, correct me if I'm wrong), and (4) people putting up "transphobic" STICKERS. STICKERS AND LEAFLETS ARE LITERAL VIOLENCE AGAINST TRANS PEOPLE.

Sometimes I go back and watch the transition video because it's enjoyable in a very surreal and kinda goofy way. The part where PT windows-movie-maker fades to transparency while slowly bowing and using Blackstar as dramatic farewell music is so funny to me.

Or how the whole general conceit of the video before the life explanation is PT seemingly feeling the need to refute Descartes throughout the Audrey Lord reading. And half of it seems to be that PT believes Descartes' worldview somehow contradicts transgender validity, despite even acknowledging at one point that Descartes would dismiss the physical body as defining someone's self. And the other half comes from how the first PhilosophyTube video was about Descartes and so this video is somehow finally rejecting or sealing away that person from the past. It's kinda interesting to think about the hell was going through their mind editing it.

Or during some of the quotations of the reading where it fades into the Abigail girl-voice while PT stands in front of a black void looking comically disturbed about the "fat black lesbian communist"'s life story.

Lol same. When “Abigail”appears in the doorway it cracks me up everytime. He looks in danger of bumping his head on the door frame and then he does this very strange, theatrical walk with his arm extended, like someone is waiting offscreen to kiss his hand. You can tell he thinks he’s in the opening of That Girl or the Mary Tyler Moore show and he’s a single “It Girl” in his smart coat out on the town. But of course he really looks like Bosom Buddies or Mrs. Doubtfire lumbering around like the oaf he is. And yeah the Bowie soundtrack adds another element of surreality. It’s so over the top.

A story in three parts:

A work of fiction is created - believed to be a transphobic parody due to its meme centric nature. However, the big reveal is that the author named Isabel Fall is actually trans! And he kills himself largely due to how badly his attack helicopter story is received on social media:

It's the 28th of December and Lindsay Ellis has decided to retire from youtube due to SJWs living rent free in her head. She cites Isabel's story as a parallel to her own:

It is the 21st of December and PT receives a cryptic ask on Tumblr:

Being the supreme actor that he is Olly neatly sidesteps the accusation. Alas, dear reader I think we both know the truth - who else could start a chain of events that would be cited by his friends farewell to the internet? Who else???

This is obviously meaningless conjecture I just saw Olly being asked this on Tumblr and weaponised some military grade autism lol
Is this Dio Brando with a communist flag over it?

Apparently the surgery he's getting in the US this month is FFS.

RIP the Philosophy Chin, 1993-2022.

He has to be shaving it down, right? It's the most prominent masculine feature on his face. But I'm not sure if reducing it would actually help his aesthetics — a softer jaw would sit strangely with his other features, the thick neck and the broad body in particular. Personally I think it's madness to make tweaks that disrupt your general harmony of form, but we're well past the point of sanity here, so hack away, I guess.

What else will he get? Brow bossing? Rhinoplasty? Whatever he picks off the menu, I doubt the surgeries will improve those beady, hollow, distinctly male eyes. Nevertheless I expect "my surgeon is an artist" comments in at least one of the philosophy of art videos he's planning to make this year. Not a name, of course, because that's ~private. Just a little flex because he can't help tossing his transness into every word salad he makes.

Also this tweet is old but I have to comment:

There wasn't much else about the movie to like.

Funny that he's done a 180 from virtuously refusing to see Matrix Resurrections in theaters for Omicron reasons to talking about his favorite parts. What are the odds he's actually seen it? He’s fudged so many little claims, and saying that Carrie-Anne Moss was good is hardly evidence of a viewing — CAM is always good. There's also the possibility that he pirated the movie, as HD copies have been floating around since it dropped on HBO Max day and date in the US. Or maybe he reneged on his earlier tweet and coughed up the cash for a ticket after all.

In any case, of course Olly would speak highly of Resurrections. A trans woman who did all his most memorable work as a man was paid to produce an incoherent, self indulgent, rehashed flop that nevertheless drives progressives online to smear critics as reactionaries in its defense. It's the Philosophy Tube dream! Shame he'll never make anything as fresh and striking as the original Matrix.

The problem with FFS is you can't shave too much off the bone without lasting damage - shave just a bit too much off and weaken the bone or shave more than a bit too much off and you're left with permanent nerve damage and constant pain. Plus it rarely works out the way the subject wants it to.
Whatever Contrapoints got done.
Hontra has good genetics for this purpose - he is naturally slimmer and has lighter features than Olly. No matter how much Tube Powah Aby has he won't be able to ignore his anatomy without impunity.

I honestly can't understand this mentality. I find plastic surgery universally repellent (unless it's to do stuff like a skin graft for a serious burn victim). Something's already going wrong here even ignoring the whole "I think I'm a woman."

Could Philosophy Tube explain in a coherent manner what it is exactly that he needs to get Facial Feminization Surgery for? I mean, obviously it can't be because womanness is reflected in physical features, right?
“I’m already a woman in every way that should matter. I have the mind of a woman, the soul of a woman, and the body of a woman — because I am a woman, and this mind and soul and body are mine. But my livelihood depends on other people seeing me as the woman I am. And here in dear old England, where our highest institutions and public intellectuals openly wish I didn’t exist, I have to make my womanhood clear such that even cis people can recognize it.”

Blah blah blah I swear I’m pure but we live in a society. Every time.

Or he’ll say nothing because he wants to keep up a front of mystery and he doesn’t want Twitter to think more deeply about his privilege and sour on him. It’s a delicate tightrope he’s walking. Olly’s obviously aware of the rampant jealousy in trans communities and careful to keep it off his back, but he’s also a showoff to the bone. Can’t help namedropping connections and reminiscing about his education and flashing a D&G face shield every now and then.

eta: sorry just realized you asked for a coherent explanation lol no dice there isn’t one

FFS is one of those procedures where I think people are oversold the results and undersold the risks, which is a consequence of cosmetic surgery becoming more and more commodified.

You have to sign a legal release when you get your wisdom teeth out cos there's a risk of permanent nerve damage if the nerves along the jaw get cut while they're drilling out those teeth. But somehow shaving along your jaw bones right next to those nerves is seen as quite a standard procedure and not a very serious, risky surgery.

I have a couple friends who already got Botox and fillers by the age of 25 cos they work in the beauty industry and aesthetics affect your career progression. But you can't just keep adding and adding those things on forever. It's a path to madness cos they need refreshing / don't last longer than 5 years
