Ok, refer to the start of my post because, yes, there are coomers writing that. But more importantly, that earlier one about jewish woman with nazi fetishes and the whole argument of the troon is question is the usual drivel these women post to justify openly writing about their fetishes in their fights against disgusted teenagers on twitter (th whole "anti-shipper" vs "pro-shipper" thing that's a subset of the larger "anti vs pro kink debate") and what I am going to say about it is that I find it very annoying how the people in these debates refuse to acknowledge there is a difference between writing fiction that deals with themes/includes like rape and other forms of violence and a work that is only written to masturbate to the thought of a 5 year old being raped by his father (granted, the teenagers also often don't point that diffrence either so it's just extreme arguments a lot of the time).

Not going to pass a moral judgement either way but it's something that almost always happens in those conversations, there is a difference between a work that contains dark themes and a work that is made to masturbate over those dark themes

The MHA fic you mentioned? The author has a Twitter. This she/her asexual seems to have no issue writing about a literal child being groomed and penetrated by an adult. Worst of all, the fic features in some of those 'Best of the Best' collections when better fics with actual original plotlines and romance between adults scarcely get a word in.

The innocence in those eyes did little work of concealing the virgin carnality waiting to be reaped.

I have read lots of those 'Dead Dove, Do Not Eat' fics, including one where Ezio is used as a human toilet and has three men piss inside his asshole, as well as having a huge turd dropped in his mouth. The author thought that was the sexiest thing ever. However, kid fics like that disturb me. That's a literal fucking toddler you're raping.

As for the 'author is trans' bullshit, I've been seeing that more often. I mentioned before how characters who cross-dressed in their universe were suddenly written as trans men, such as Maria Thorpe. Women who wanted to be knights and warriors and were disallowed are now AcTuAlLy men because they 'fit the bill of what it means to be trans today.'

The ABO fandom really did a good job bringing that shit to the mainstream. I don't talk about this a lot, but ABO genuinely does have a misogyny problem, even when it's written by these urban white girls who call themselves enbies. In virtually every fic, no female character is present or is deliberately placed at the back. She is either a support character or there to validate the unhealthy dynamics. The men get anal periods and need to take hormone blockers so alphas won't rape them like male ducks do in the wild. They also get pregnant, despite females being present, making you wonder why sexual dimorphism even AROSE when everyone can potentially get pregnant.

AO3 once sent me a complaint from an author that I was being transphobic because I asked why this particular author, who truly had a trans fetish, did not make the characters a true hermaphrodite/third sex. Guess being original is too hard.

Have become? That type of stuff has always been around in fandom (and probably in other similar female-dominated creative spaces), AO3 just makes it easier to catalogue and search for.

Also "original male dog character" made me laugh for a long time.

I stay out of discussions to do with this topic because usually it makes me want to cut my eyes out, but IMO it's less about not acknowledging the difference, and more about an acknowledgment of how difficult it would be to recognize that difference on a practical level.

Because once you make the deciding factor "is someone likely to masturbate to this?' it's really hard to draw an exact line. There's a lot of stuff that clearly falls on either side, obviously, like some of the fics whose summaries you posted, but I can see why AO3 wouldn't want to try to enforce a rule like that, because a site of that size would immediately get bogged down with increasingly traumatized moderators scouring hundreds of fics every day for signs of author horniness around any rape/violence/incest/etc, plus constant author complaints when their fic was removed for being too horny when actually they were not horny when they wrote it, others complaining about lack of sufficient horny removal, etc. I am not exaggerating when I say I could see that killing the site.

The hands-off "it's all text and no one real is getting hurt, so just tag your depravity so other people can filter" makes a lot more sense as much from a logistics standpoint as a free-speech one.

I also wonder whether a lot of the anxiety and passion of the anti-shippers is due to the fact that they are aware of the huge lurking monster of pornography (which actually does contain real people getting hurt by rape and violence) and yet realize unconsciously that fighting pornography would involve a battle out there in the big scary real non-fandom world, plus cool teenagers aren't supposed to be anti-porn, being anti-porn is for those uncool SWERF radfems.

So they redirect their anxiety and anger towards an object that does not make them feel depressed and powerless, but rather feels like a battle they can conceivably win (fics about K-pop bands getting raped on AO3).

I'd like to add this: I have a love-hate relationship with AO3. I do like how you can find all manners of content you wouldn't find on FFnet and you can post gifs, different skins to add a Medieval document or a pseudo-text message. You can filter what explicit content you want to see and see what is the most popular fic there is in any given fandom.

However, the culture is something else. It's Journal of Transformative Works, if you've ever seen it, is filled with the post modern bullshit you've come to expect from Libs of TikTok.

Here's one paper on how an actual person on a live TV show was queerbaiting the audience because he was undergoing a bisexual awakening. Maybe mind your own fucking business? This is not a fictional character, this is a real person and that is slander. The author sounds like a Roman Emperor reject.

You can also read one on how The Last Kingdom is really a metaphor for unity under Brexit, even though ALL of the people back then would be shocked to see millions of people per year flooding into Britain.

There's creating a website that hosts fandom works from the ageing Adult FFnet and FFnet itself, and there's promoting a pseudo-political culture filled with people who have no real degrees and who share the exact same politics.

It screams BS because it is BS. It's actually BS in multiple ways.

1. Male bodies are, on average, significantly larger than female bodies, have larger lungs, are stronger, etc. These factors are all advantages in the vast majority of sports. As we can see from examples of adults who were on puberty blockers as children (Jazz Jennings, etc.) males who did not go through male puberty are still physically larger and retain those size/strength advantages over their female peers.
2. Male puberty makes those advantages of size and strength even more extreme. Boys grow significantly taller than their female peers, have longer limbs (significant in many sports), are stronger on average, have more lung capacity, longer stride, etc. all of which is very relevant when it comes to sports. None of these things are reversible. A man who takes a testosterone blocker medication as an adult doesn't experience height loss or lung shrinkage.
3. Studies show that the average amount of strength loss after transition caps at 5% after one year and, iirc, maxes out at around 10% after three years of testosterone suppression and exogenous estrogen treatment, and does not show any sign of further decrease after that point. This is significantly less than the gap between male and female strength levels and percentages of performance difference between male and female athletes, meaning that trans-identified male athletes, even after over three years of consistent treatment with testosterone blockers and exogenous estrogen treatment, retain a significant advantage over female athletes.

Of course, this is all really common sense shit that we already knew, but it is backed up by actual science as well. The men in those tweets are literally outright lying, blatantly, and the only reason they're getting away with it is because they speak from a position of authority (seeing as white, trans-identified heterosexual males are literally the authority figures of the modern left).

(An additional point I feel is important: The twitter thread references trans-identified male athletes being allowed to compete "once the testosterone is gone," but this does not ever happen, even with testosterone blockers, and sporting groups do not expect nor require this to happen. The allowed limit for testosterone levels in trans-identified male athletes is several times the average testosterone levels of female athletes - trans-identified male athletes in the Olympics, for example, must bring their testosterone levels to less than 10nmol/liter in order to compete, but the average testosterone level for natal females is between 0.5-2.4nmol/liter. Trans-identified male athletes are allowed to compete with levels of testosterone in their system around ten times higher than that of their female peers. In fact, multiple natal female athletes at the Tokyo Olympics were banned from participation because their natural testosterone levels exceeded 5nmol/liter... HALF of the level allowed for trans-identified male athletes!)

Also, dude is lying about the orbital bone thing. First of all, Fallon Fox did not just break Tamikka Brents's orbital, he also split her scalp open to the point that she needed seven staples put in her head, and gave her a serious concussion. But more importantly, fractured orbitals only make up around 14% of eye injuries in MMA specifically, making them a minority both of eye related injuries and overall injuries in MMA; Additionally, while I can't find statistics to back me up on this one, at a guess I would say that orbital fractures are probably even more rare in female MMA fights and the vast majority of that 14% take place in male MMA fights.

From my experience (yes, I too was a sad 14 year old girl and reading fanfiction at some time, as did all my female friends) that is exactly it. They're overwhelmingly women who are into men. But they don't feel comfortable with most of the straight romance/sexual material there is. Sure, there is a sexual aspect to it as they find the idea of men fucking each other hot, similar to how men feel about lesbian porn. But a lot of it comes from a desire to see cute, romantic stories about men that has none of the baggage of sexism / gender roles/ unequal positions / violent and fucked up shit they might have already seen in straight romances (and porn). It's both funny and sad how pretty much all of the male characters written by these girls act and sound exactly like girls with all the female socialisation that entails. They literally cannot find enough cool female characters / straight romances that they can really identify and feel comfortable with, so they borrow male characters. It's escapism.

I get the feeling that most FTMs are uncomfortable with the concept of heterosexuality in theory, but not in practice. I know this FTM/M couple that lives like a normal heterosexual couple, but they insist that they're a queer or gay couple. The male half of the couple insists that they're some sort of queer/gay couple. As a homosexual, I find yaoi to be silly. For one thing, it's not based on reality or addresses the reality of how male/male erotic relationships work. It assumes that homosexuals are just like heterosexuals when the reality is much different.

Years back when a bunch of anarchists who were maybe associated with criminal activity in the PNW were jailed and summoned before a grand jury, they vowed to remain silent. I don't blame them; I'm not a fan of anarchism but the whole case seemed bullshitty and based on lame non-evidence.
There was a big campaign to support them. Then suddenly one of the three was released without explanation. So everyone assumed she'd ratted on people. The support around it lost momentum right away, the discourse exploded into accusations and people gossiping like crazy and being really nasty about her, focus was taken off the two still in jail, and it all kind of fell apart.
She's totally disappeared since then bc there's no way she wouldn't get kicked out/harassed/her ass beat anywhere she went in that scene, forever. (Not an exaggeration: anarchists are known to wave off pedophilia ffs, but snitches get stitches.)

Anyway, maybe she did talk. But I kind of doubt it? This girl was seriously committed, it was her whole community and identity and life, and she had a ton of support. And the disintegration of support was so effective. So the first thing I thought when observing it was, "aha. Snitch-jacketing."

So from that, I'm assuming this creep is using the version "creep-jacketing" to mean "don't repeat stories and rumors about troons being creeps!! It's false and bad for the community!"

I get the feeling that most FTMs are uncomfortable with the concept of heterosexuality in theory, but not in practice. I know this FTM/M couple that lives like a normal heterosexual couple, but they insist that they're a queer or gay couple. The male half of the couple insists that they're some sort of queer/gay couple. As a homosexual, I find yaoi to be silly. For one thing, it's not based on reality or addresses the reality of how male/male erotic relationships work. It assumes that homosexuals are just like heterosexuals when the reality is much different.

Yaoi is "silly" if you interpret it as trying to be realistic, yes. But it’s perfective effective if you consider its true purpose: erotica for women to consume in order to experience sexual pleasure.

I point this out mainly because women who decide they are trans after consuming yaoi are not just being fooled by an inaccurate depiction of gay males that they happened to stumble upon. These women's revelation that they are "male" came about because they were drawn to something produced entirely for and by women, based on what women like and are interested in.
