Legos are a rich kid's toy. One lego set can pretty much make what the set is and a few iterations of the theme of that set if you're lucky and its large enough. A comparably priced set of Kinex or an Erector set comes with instructions to make like 5 different things and with a little creativity you can turn a set that was meant to be a top fuel dragseter into a functioning crossbow or a ferris wheel.
To be fair they still sell the big crates of random Lego bricks but adults buy the premade sets because either a) most of them lack the imagination to make entirely new things or b) ”hey Timmy likes [insert franchise here] let’s buy him a Lego set from it!”

I once went down the rabbit hole of lego sets that are discontinued but are based on an IP that millenial nerds love and it's insane what people will pay for a Lord of the Rings or Star Wars set. Like, dudes are paying $30 for just a Lego Gandalf. Just the litle lego man, by himself.

Remember that Pine Ridge was the reservation that was scheduled to get fucked by the Keystone XL pipeline project until Biden put a stop to it last year. Penny probably remembered them from the news, and because it was the only reservation he could think of, decided to enlist them in his racist little noble-savage scam.

I’m guessing that Penny has some sort of personal connection to that tribe or that location. It’s still outwardly very odd and suspicious looking though.

But the oil pipeline thing is what made me wonder about the possibility of secret cash being funnelled to that location, needing the disguise of third party fundraisers.

The drone grift is a good one, as no evidence need be presented, but the excitable incels true and honest women followers really love the fantasy of armed defense and get to sperge about bullets and lasers and so on.

If they get a drone they'll actually use it to creep on their neighbors
They purchased (I believe) $700 worth of surveillance tech, including camera drones, during a grift around the start of 2021.

Which still wasn't used to capture footage of anything of substance.

Considering how the Tranch is planning on giving a whole bunch of money to a 'struggling woman with kiddos' and the Tranchers by and large hate women, guarantee it's headed for a specific FtM troon. I think the fact that they supposedly run a painting business kind of reinforces that, since all gender stereotypes aside that's not TYPICALLY the sort of small business opportunity an actual woman would launch into.

Just fucking LOL at this point. Apart from the incessant grifting, you can’t get it together to fix, what is that, a 1992 F150? SAD.
Step 1: Buy this.

Step 2: Buy parts needed.
Step 3: Watch youtube videos on how to do the repair.
Step 4: Drive newly repaired vehicle.

Instead they will spend they're GoGriftMe cash on toys and burrito night. We haven't seen any dinner banquet feast pics in awhile, are the trannies on starvation rations?

Modern Legos you're pretty well correct for themed sets. They look better but they're almost to Playmobile in level of "these parts really only go together one way". Individual Lego bricks are tough as nails but lego builds are brittle - dropped or impacted they shatter and go everywhere. Which as a kid is part of the fun, but if you don't have a containment area that means especially for modern sets, that's a lot of small pieces to go every fucking where, get lost, and now your set doesn't fit together anymore and its kinda useless.

@Elysian has it nailed though. They still sell Lego crates for kids to go nuts with. But they don't have lego crates on that list. Its $300 adult set and a $250 Monkey Kid (Original Theme, kid friendly, china-targeted Monkey King reimagining). The Monkey Kid one is the most kid friendly, but its a pack of minifigures and a bunch of scatter-terrain pieces - as you said, that's a well-off kids toy, who has a section of floor to turn into play arena, and enough other legos to make more play pieces.
Those aren't toys for children, those are toys for Manchildren. Specifically for a specific manchild at the tranch and the grift is disgusting.

Erector sets have tiny screws and nuts that can be hard to keep track of, but agree about the K'nex. Easier to keep all the K'nex pieces in one tub and even the smallest parts are decent sized.

edit: Also that monkey kid set is either discontinued or about to be. Its $180 MSRP so that amazon listing has some serious mark up. And the Treehouse is in the same boat. A $200 MSRP set on sale for $300. Because what unprivileged kid on the Rez doesn't want a bespoke Lego set that the giver overpaid for by probably more than what their family has to spend on groceries that month.

This what happens when you don't have a business plan, don't know how to budget, and don't know how to make profits. This is beyond embarrassing.

The tranch will never be functional in the slightest.

Considering how he runs that ranch and the fact that things in his care routinely freeze to death every winter, I'm not sure having him be a present father would be a better option.
At least he'd create a zillion gfm's for the "kiddos." OMG, this is even worse. Why is he grifting for strangers' kids, and not his own spawn.

The only thing that makes me question whether this is a blatant scam is that Penny knows we are watching and cataloguing everything the Tranch does. Is he really dumb enough to think that everyone in this thread isn’t watching this fundraiser like a hawk and making efforts to check all of their claims? Can he really bank on none of their thousands of followers reaching out to the Rez?

Narcissists generally think they are smarter than everyone else. They hardly ever are.
