There are plenty of good people that get suckered into things like Scientology. Usually they are in a vulnerable place. They're probably just looking to fill a hole in their lives. And the shame is that, as others pointed out in this thread, there probably is a void to fill in this area of what it means to be a man in the modern day.

From what I observed of the Fall 2021 FNG Cohorts still in "quarantine" (not yet full members, with limited Wickr/forum access), this is the majority. IMO, most of these men feel like the modern socio/political/workplace climate and culture wars are painting them in a corner, and they are just looking for a relief from the crazy - that was my reason anyways.

I joined in early December without knowing much about Jack, like a ton of other guys. And like a ton of other guys, I immediately saw red flags and questioned his behavior on the YAH podcast as being out of whack with what he was promoting. Then, I started paying more attention and questioned my membership after reading the kuk articles, and finally said fuck this shit when the porn/dildo pics and vids came out - It's one thing to be freaky in the bedroom and want to broadcast it, but it's another story when you pretend having the opposite norms and values in order to lure people into paying for access to an exclusive network. Plus I'm all out of cognitive dissonance from the last two years of flattening the curve.

On one hand, even though he probably won't reimburse me and the 200+ cancelled memberships, I want to thank you guys for exposing this grift, and, on a personal level, for saving me from wasting a bunch of time/effort towards "graduating". But to be honest, I'm sad about missing out on something I had so much hope in - if you strip away the fake-ass Jack Murphy persona, the crazy fees, and the sus secret society imagery/on-boarding crap, I felt it had a lot of potential. This is pretty important, I was surprised there was such a high pay structure. Even the brunches are oddly monetized, they aren't as bad as you're getting food and drinks, but I was still surprised to see you're paying as much for them as opposed to just paying for the food you want. At one point I do remember checking if there was a brunch in my area because I thought it might be fun to meet some new people and waste some time, but as there wasn't one near me I never really thought about it beyond that. Had I seen the pricing on any of his stuff I'd have thought he was a scam artist way sooner.

I don’t think anything interesting on the subject will happen until there are some recent, and high level defections. THe fact that he's mentioned by name in the article that started this whole thing and the fact that Cernovich retweeted it tells me with near certainty that he has some role in Murphy's perverted shit.
