If you think their content isn't fair use, you're a retard, but I can definitely agree with the sentiment that Augie's clips (at least on his own channel) have been getting mind-numbingly boring lately.

Who's watching Nick or Augie's commentary and giving an honest fuck about their personality? They're just talking heads and little else.

Assuming you mean Nick's live content and not his edited video essays, the only clips that Nick uploads to YouTube nowadays tend to be debates he was in or panels he was on.

Also, I'd say plenty are watching them for their personality. Them acting like tards is one of the biggest draws of the show:

IIRC, their main umbrage with Twitch's "React Andies" was that they a) would give little to no commentary, b) had these clips of them essentially rebroadcasting other people's content uploaded to YouTube, and c) acted like it was all the hardest job in the world. Whether or not you agree with these points or think that they make Augie et al hypocrites, I'd say that they're still providing more actual commentary than Hasan or xQc tended to, as generously long (and resultantly boring) as a lot of Augie's clips are.

Idk, I just think for every dead air clip there's a "stop pausing the video so much" clip, like the FIVE HOUR "analysis" of Creepshow's return video.

Explain to me how Augie can call XQC stream clips an infringement of fair use yet upload a video where there are minutes of dead silence no commentary other than “oh wait keem said the mother did that?” Yeah real enlightening. Augie is playing keem’s Twitter video, parts of Def noodles’ video which isn’t the issue it’s the dead air that adds nothing at all. you could look at any streamer who plays clips and reacts in the same way as Augie did and it would still be lazy the difference is how it’s hypocritical here. His commentary was non existent other than a few one word sentences that didn’t add anything which is fair enough because it’s a stream clip.

I’m not a lawyer, but i can for definite it’s Lazy content, it’s not transformative. Sure it’s a stream clip but VODs are a thing for a reason. It’s not like he gave any substantial take on the situation either (cuz he hardly said anything), it wouldn’t even count as a clip highlight on Asmongold’s clip channel and that’s saying something. However, don’t get my argument confused I’m not trying to make a fair use argument I’m trying to say that this content is lazy and unoriginal.

The pause argument is fine if you’re a streamer or currently streaming but Augie is based on YouTube commentary if he can’t talk about a meaningless issue for 5 mins as a recorded video then how is he a commentator? If he wanted to he could make a video AND discuss it on stream take Tom Dark as an example (you’d think Augie would understand that after everything he said about twitch people and their content during the whole yt vs twitch beef thing.) His main channel content is boring because it’s recycled stream clips with jinx levels of commentary at worst. There’s no excuse for it because Augie has made videos about topics he’s talked about on stream so he is capable of doing that bullshit excuses aside.

Ed: His other news content aka where Augie rambles on about drama topics in a video is fine but it’s honestly a lifeless boring version of drama alert or scarce imo.

It's actually not that uncommon really - a lot of parents will often be annoyed that their kids, especially if they're younger (20's or so too), move in with someone who's of the opposite sex. Even more so if they're in a relationship with said person, since it tends to risk that they would do sexual activities, which could lead to having a kid, and put a lot of monetary and life responsibility onto the kids when they may not be ready for it.

There's also the possibility that the parents don't approve of the person that their kid is dating - That goes for guys and girls. I remember an old joke being "if your friends tell you that your girlfriend is a bitch, they just want you to break up with her so they can date her. But if your mom tells you your girlfriend is a bitch, she's probably right."

Who knows really. For all we know, Kai's lying about this, or he lied to his parents about moving in with Omnia... Who knows?
