Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

.... What do you think they'd do, sue every single person who tries to leave? Have you put even an ounce of thought into the sheer -logistics- of that?
No problem when you have Soros money behind your anointed inquisitors.

You have absolutely no concept of either the cost of what you propose or Soros' finances.

Even if Soros were to personally, without any waste, bankroll such a project.... he'd be bankrupted before the year was out.

How many of the Gop gained?

My father was telling me how some counties voted on leaving certain blue to states to become part of red states. So that may help Republicans.

So what I did was looked at districts created/shifted and Partisan vote. So, for example, Cheri Bustos (D) currently holds the Ill-17th. However, this is a seat Trump flipped from Obama twice. Bustos was set to retire and it was a pickup opportunity. Dems moved it from R2 to D4. While a Republican can and maybe will pick it up in 2022; it is a seat that will most likely in all but the most favorable Republican environments elect a Democrat. At the same time, Illinois lost a seat in reapportionment. Dems did not gain the seat, but chose to axe a GOP seat downstate.

If you do that math that means the Illinois delegation went from 13D-5R to 14D-3R.

While the GOP has gained seats, its lost more than its gained. It gained a seat in Montana, two seats in Texas (potentially more depending on what Dems do in primaries), a seat in Georgia, two seats in NC, and a seat in Arizona.

We're talking here about partisan lean. If a seat is winnable isn't the issue, its who it will elect on tilt for the decade. Its far harder to win a Biden 7.8 district than a Trump +2.

The process isn't over yet. And Republican's can easily erase their deficit by drawing decent maps in the remaining states. But Dems have been far more aggressive and willing to play to win. Ironic, considering the media has, falsely, accused the GOP of rigging the House.

Is it just me, or is Aaron Rodgers a budding lolcow?

Doesn't mean they won't try. You underestimate their capacity for frivolous lawsuits and malicious prosecution.
it's literally unconstitutional. freedom of movement is an explicitly constitutional right. the closest they could do is to try to force an expat tax like California was planning to do, but even that would likely flop

Not just you. The press was all over him this past weekend asking if he was going to go into politics.

And I thought to myself, this is what we've become. Hollywood/Sports celebrities running for office and to be running the country.

I have nothing against Aaron personally, but stick with what you know -- tossing the foosball around.

Since when do these creeps care about obeying the law or the Constitution when it's inconvenient to them? They break it with impunity, and the courts enable them.

when they slunk back after the eviction moratorium was struck down, or when they were forced to reimplement the remain in Mexico program. sneaky circumvention isn't the same as outright ignoring the constitution.

You never know how things change as people grow old. Robert A. Heinlein was a socialist in his youth, working for Upton Sinclair's gubernatorial campaign in California in the 30's, before becoming disillusioned with the Democrat party and becoming the grumpy, rambling libertarian we know and love. By 1964 he was all-in for Goldwater.

(Also, when he was a mere Ensign in the USN he was dating one of his Captain's daughters, which has to be one of the ballsiest things a man can do, especially when said Captain is one Ernest King, who was described by his fellow Naval personnel as the most even-tempered person in the Navy due to his constant state of simmering rage.)

I have a legitimately terrible gut feeling about tomorrow. I hope it's a nothingburger. Is there any way Null could put up the Moon again?

If the Feds false flag an op against politicians in broad daylight while wearing red hats or discernable paraphernalia...

I take back everything I said; good on Trump for canceling. Don't want to risk "goons from Mar-a-Lago" cRoSSinG sTAtE LiNeS as new J6. It's a plan to engender American fear so well, it would be stupid for the Dem-Three Letter Orgs to not pull off so they can have a crutch for the midterms
