This finally might be a case that Nick has live(ish) covered where the defendant might actually have done it.

That said, after seeing the unethical scumbag behavior from the Rittenhouse and Tasertasertaser trials, I better see the state crossing their Ts and dotting their Is.

Jesus, as someone who worked a real job while getting a real IT degree, I'm pretty sure it was less onerous and boring than it would have been to email myself all day to build a massive house of cards like that.

I've gotta go to bed before the defense gives their side, but I'm gonna try to remember to catch it tomorrow because I really want to see what their argument against all this is.

That's a I'm fairly sure that's a McDonalds from Kenosha Wisconsin during the riots. He's been using it off and on ever since the riots if I remember correctly and with the recent Rittenhouse coverage it was especially fitting.

The trial seems like a formality at this point. I feel the defense lawyer doesn't believe in her client's innocence either.

Seems that way. This would be a good case study regarding Nick's answer anytime someone asks how Defense Lawyers can defend someone they think is guilty as sin. Does she make sure the state does its job ensuring that her clients rights are protected (and by extension the rights of those who ARE innocent)? Or does she phone it in demoralized furthering the Justice Systems decline into a guilty verdict rubber stamping punishment arm of the state?
