Kazakhstan unrest and future of the country - Protests erupt around ex Soviet country over fuel prices.

I mean the 75-year love affair between the CIA and Ukrainian fascists is well-documented and the government sure does like Stepan Bandera and other anti-Russian, anti-Polish, antisemitic terrorists. Not a surprise when the current government was installed by the CIA and their allies like NATO, Open Society Foundation, etc.

Take your meds bro or NATO soldiers will invade your shithole apartment and steal your last krocodil dose.

I guess we had it all wrong. The protests are coordinated from Poland, Baltic States and Ukraine. Lol at Russian schizoid trolls.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope that Kazahstan gets invaded helped by brotherly Russian nation in response to "Kazakh Nazis crucifying Russian speaking newborns" We should have a token massacre real soon, followed by more "evidence" of NATO involvement and phantom glowniggers ... glowing everywhere. This can never be about people pissed off that one of the richest oil producers in the region spends all that cash on "democratic" mafia and live in shit.

If anyone wanders how come Kazakhs don't live like emirates or any other arab rich oil states ... it's all because of NATO, Ukraine (and don't forget Poland) meddling and installing their puppet NATO regimes .... lol, what a schizoid shitshow :story:

There are also multiple reports of citizens disarming police and detaining military personal, Seizing police stations and also storming the mayor's office, Also the Akimat admin building as another government building is on fire, This is much bigger than apparently anticipated and may escalate to a revolution.
I definitely see a lot of Borat references on the feed as well.

There's also a report that protesters tried to tear down the statue of Nursultan.

And those NATO and Polish puppeteers also were constantly raising prices, made previously honest government members corrupt and renamed Astana in Nursultan. Duh!

That's not really hard when the other countries have dictators that boil dissidents alive, add new verses to the Koran praising them, and change the name of bread to the dictator's mother.
Uzbekistan seems to have eased up quite a bit ever since Islam Karimov (the guy who allegedly boiled dissidents alive - it wouldn't surprise me) died. Now they're just a generic semi-autocratic state rather than a full blown hardline authoritarian shithole.

Oh yeah this is blowing up fast, Almaty International Airport is confirmed taken by protestors and the presidential residence in Almaty was also lit on fire:

Also plenty of Twitter feeds are verifying that police and military are being actively disarmed by the crowd. If gas prices are what caused this, Tokayev's claim to have reinstated price controls isn't going to end it now.

Should be noted that the chances of a radical Islamist group taking over are quite slim. All of the post-Soviet Central Asian republics are quite secularized both politically and culturally and (along with Azerbaijan and Albania) are the least practicing muslim-majority countries. In Tajikistan it's even illegal to grow a beard past a certain length because it would appear 'too Muslim/fundie'. In the cities most of the women don't even cover their hair.

Tajikistan borderlands have to be guarded by Russia and now, with Taliban in power, I wouldn't be so sure.

good timing for a lot of Nazirbayev's "business" friends, talk about taking the last plane out. Lots of private jets are headed to Eurojews few hours earlier.

I kind of doubt that warrior class (police and military) are fighting too hard when momentum is overwhelmingly on the side of the opposition. At that point, working for any boss is just work, there is no reason to shoot anyone. That's usually is a turning point and shit, that was indeed very quick. I wander if they just lower gas prices back and go home, lol.

That is a very real possibility. However, Tajikistan has the benefit of its southern border being a gigantic wall of rock. It's one reason (along with the aforementioned Russian peacekeepers) why it hasn't really been infiltrated in any significant way. The Tajiks and Russians clearly have the high ground in this case.

Then again, it's Clown World so what the hell do I know?

Somewhat unrelated but the CIS Stans are some of the most breathtakingly beautiful countries on earth, geography-wise. I hope to visit someday - especially Kyrgyzstan.

If these reports are true it's pretty much over from Tokayev's standpoint, no strongman persists once the military decides it's better going against you. Only question then is who replaces him because these protests are still seemingly only united around blind frustration; wouldn't surprise me if Nur-Otan quells them by installing someone reasonably distanced from Tokayev and promising better living standards.
