Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

This is probably an unpopular take, but they do deserve to be in jail since they committed a crime. It's a minor crime and has been blown out of proportion by a bunch of agitprop and elites trying to use it as the American Reichstag, but vandalism is still a crime.
"That guy put his feet up on Nancy Pelosi's desk, he should be locked away for the good of society!!!1111!!!!"
Come the fuck on, now. You're right in saying it's unpopular.

I said it before, I'll say it again...

Jan 6 was based! Patriots strolling around like a guided tour and yet somehow still making the scummiest politicians in American history cower on the ground in their secure rooms while crying crocodile tears because the people were speaking out against their misdeeds, making them realize that the citizens they're supposed to represent rather than exploit, aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet from which to extract donations and thoughtless votes, but actual flesh and blood human beings who are not only just capable of noticing obvious election fraud, but willing to make the inconvenient trek from all over the nation, to Ground Zero of The Swamp, in order to defend our democracy from sociopathic politicians intent on enshrining an illegitimate administration that does not have the Consent of the Governed. There needs to be a Jan 6 every single month!

Ive heard some murmurings on twitter that people are trying to drum up support for Canada to invade. Id love to hear a military opinion on the strength of canada's military in comparison to say NATO.
Fuck NATO (which we're the bulk of anyway), the leafs wouldn't stand a chance against the US alone.

The US is ranked third in active personnel. Leafistan is ranked 55th. Any delusions of Canadia "saving" the US are downright hysterical.

A lot of people have given trump shit for canceling, but I think its an excellent idea. They cant do shit in a vacuum without looking suspicious.

Jesus..... Yeah everything makes even more sense now.

The writing seems to be on the wall if this is happening.

Canada trying to step one foot into the US to invade it is one of the few things that might unify Americans, which is why the Uniparty has likely quietly told Trudeau to not even think of that.

Breaking and entering into a federal building and causing property damage is a crime. If we are to act as a law-abiding society, we need to apply it equally, not ignore it when people we like fuck up.

This shit was a misdemeanor at best, likely a minor felony because everything involving the feds gets ratcheted up a degree. This isn't a great act of terrorism, but it needs to be addressed by the justice system.

Fivey the Fox should have known better than to try and go against the conditioning, correct as his assertions may be. Twitter is going to shame him right back into compliance.

And that’s just taking the actual military into account, not even guerrilla or militia action. Sure, some pro-gun people are largely larpers, but there’s plenty more patriotic fuckers who can and will put down their lives to keep the leafs the FUCK out. Anyone thinking Canada has any shot is high on their own fucking farts... which is probably why so many leftists seem down with the idea...

It's not very "breaking and entering" when the guards in front open the doors for you and hold them open for you to enter.
but yeah, some 30 Days In The Hole and/or probation would have been reasonable, still waiting for trial a year after the fact, not so much

What has happened to the protestors is completely fucked up, and the fact that Trump hasn't said shit about it is an embarrassment. We're literally watching everything that the lefties has claimed is wrong with the prison and justice systems happening in real time, but because they don't have the right opinions it's totally cool to ignore their civil liberties.

There's just no point to saying this though. It just gives left-wingers an inch, and you know what happens when you do that. They'll just take it and never admit their own side's wrongdoing.

There is never, ever a single iota of a point in being the bigger man during politics when dealing with the left-winger.

I have several questions about that. One angle has the guards let them in, another angle has them climb the Capitol, ANOTHER angle has them trying to break down a door (that shooting), and finally that famous picture of Moose Man standing by a podium.

Was it willingly or forced entry? What was the whole point of that ordeal?

If only the GOPe would realize that politics has been made into a zero sum game and act accordingly.

But this gets back to the issue of "equal treatment before the law" and "the punishment should fit the crime." In the summer of 2020, we had people throwing riots who spent a night in jail and then getting let out on low/no-bail. For the Boomer invasion, we had people parading around the Capitol and then having FBI SWAT teams kick in their doors, and then being held indefinitely for over a year in solitary.

The doors from outside the building to the lobby areas was absolutely the guards opening the doors, I watched streams as it happened. Looked to have been a reasonable call for crowd control to keep the people up front from getting crushed.
once the boomerwaffen got inside I can think of at least one instance of somebody with a camera going "lol what's up these stairs" and there was a fed with a gun drawn and was all "I will literally fucking shoot you go back to the lobby" and then camera was like "lol what's back in the lobby"

That's basically my "simplified" take on 1/6. I've seen months of rioting in cities justified while businesses were burned to the ground with little resistance, media attention or repercussion. Meanwhile, this one event happens for a few hours and suddenly everybody loses their shit. Milking it for all it's worth.

If you want a more "in-depth" take, you know where to find me. @X Prime, I'm SURE you'd like it.

We're in total agreement there. Ironic that the oppressed freedom fighters keep getting off scot free. It's almost as if the members running the institution give them preferential treatment, but that can't possibly be, they're so gosh-darned oppressed.
Claiming to believe in equal treatment before the law is merely a fantasy that is only spouted by the terminally naive or the comfortable.
The point is that equal treatment before the law is something that needs to be strived for because it's the best system, even if it's not in practice or really never has been. Yeah, I'm fairly comfortable in my living situation, but that doesn't mean that the end goal is all of a sudden wrong.
