That said, I'm not sure this is all that contradictory. He basically is saying people should just get on with it ("leave your pronouns at the door") and don't be a drag at parties by banging on about pronouns ("attention seeking") but also that trans women aren't a threat to women and so shouldn't be feared/excluded/harassed/shunned, which is pretty in line with what Club Kids of his era thought.

There's a Twitter account I used to follow who would go around and talk about chromosomes and "Gene expressions"/intersex in threads like that. You'd tag him and he'd come school whoever. He got a lot of hate because he wasn't a scientist, I think he was an architect, but he would back up his words with studies and actual science references. He made a bunch of simple educational reference videos and really got into the weeds in layman's terms. He knew his stuff, which is why people hated him. He's still doing the Lord's work AFAIK.
