Pretty much. She was called out on it pretty quick and this was at the very start of GG, before Archiving everything started to become SOP, so it got Memory Hole'd (to coin a term from the Wu thread).

Short answer: Ride a rotating series of erstwhile lovers to enhance her own prestige and wealth. Milk Social Justice's inherent tendency for cronyism to become relevant and powerful.

Long answer: If you look her up prior to Gamergate, and, indeed, prior to Depression Quest, she's always been a professional victim and has always been cozying up to people more competent, powerful, and successful than she is, to ride on their coattails. She attaches herself to people who are otherwise socially-isolated and uses them to her own ends. She's an utterly remorsely sociopath with no capacity for the feelings of anyone other than herself. She continually portrays herself as a victim, whilst nigh-constantly attacking and hurting others (including other women). She constantly tries to portray herself as super smart and successful when she's made one "game" in Twine that in any other world, would wind up rotting in a corner, alone and unplayed for the pretentious shit it is, whilst at the same time portraying herself as some fragile little bird who has to be protected from everything forever.

This is a girl who can pose nude, have those pics distributed publicly for years, then claim they were released as part of a hack, an argument gleefully copied by a dozen sympathetic outlets because Social Justice, but hey, she also claimed to have killed a man during the snapping of those photos. This is someone who can attack a board full of socially-awkward people who are about as threatening as a fucking episode of Smurfs and can label them all a threat to her life.

The more horrifying aspect of Quinn however is how much pull she has just by knowing (and fucking) the right people, and the usual SJW tendency of rampant cronyism connected to it. When Quinn's indiscretions first began to make headlines, Reddit was instrumental in locking it down due to SJWs in the mod team. Hell, they didn't even try to hide they were doing it when that became public. As it became clear that things were going against Quinn in this regard, they resorted to increasingly draconian measures. And, as we learned from GJP soonafter, this was entirely done because Quinn was one of the Social Justice Indie crowd. She had backup trying to quash her shit on over a dozen fucking websites. There's government organizations with fucking less pull than Quinn apparently had.

Donations. That's why the Nathan Grayson article was so shameless, since it linked directly to her paypal account with no transparency. Also, prior to GG, her paypal account for Depression Quest was the same paypal account that her game jam (What was it? Rebel Game Jam?) was being used for. So it was pretty obviously just a big wallet for Zoe to do whatever with.

She's a grifter, with Narcissistic Personality Disorder I'd say. Every single thing she does in the public eye is to get her the attention and admiration she craves and she uses that attention in turn to fleece well-meaning idiots out of their money, especially men. I hope she's paying taxes on her ill-gotten gains, or else she's going to have the IRS come a-calling, and screaming harassment won't work with them.
