That is exactly what he tried to do. He applied for disability through his work, I'm assuming some short or long-term thing and was giddy as fuck when he thought he would get it. He was denied and returned to work for a couple weeks and his depression suddenly came back, so he quit. That is when he started his YT channel and once again his depression disappeared. I remember him all giddy talking to Chantal after he was monitized about all the stuff he was going to buy. When the thousands didn't come pouring in like he thought and he realized his dream of doing nothing for easy cash he was suddenly depressed again and made a whole video about it hinting at suicide.
It must be those dang algorithms that ruined his prospects. I can't imagine why a boring man in a grubby shirt with awful speaking skills and the posture of a cocktail shrimp isn't raking in thousands.
