ANN types need to invent more censorship for it actually makes their existence valid. It’s kind of like a competition to see who can be the most useless out of the bunch of Westaboos that run their “company”.Hope that ANN dick was worth it, fucking cunt...
Censorship is censorship, plain and simple. It doesn't matter if it makes you uncomfortable, you don't have the right to declare what does and doesn't get to come stateside becauseit offends youyou're a whiny little bitch who can't accept that there are people who can take a little spice because they're not pussies.
From what I saw, they just cried about how "boring" it is. Not going back to it, I'm staying off ANN during the Preview Guide since I got shows this season I'm hyped for and don't want to lose brain cells to Caitlin's shitty take on.So a new police theme anime came out today and ANN decided to review it for their preview guide. Anyone want to guess what ensued?
If they’ve never seen or care for You’re Under Arrest, then their opinion is honestly meaningless. Of course, this is ANN we are talking about here, but the thought still stands. So a new police theme anime came out today and ANN decided to review it for their preview guide. Caitlin (the one who actually called it copaganda, unlike the rest who just cried about how boring it was. Of course if it would be one it was going to be Caitlin) gives the show a mention in her review. If they’ve never seen or care for You’re Under Arrest, then their opinion is honestly meaningless. Are cops even seen as negatively in Japan? If not this just reminds me of when Zac shat on the airsoft girls hobby anime because of AMERICAN gun politics
Law and Order is basically one of the last remains of broadcast television in the United States whose audience consists of only baby boomers at this point.
How could she put Brooklyn Nine Nine and Law and Order in the sentence as You're Under Arrest? That’s just more insulting than thinking they speak for the Japanese population about how they use their police.
Redo and Mushoku are full of obvious content, sure, but WEP was an utter betrayal to them and other progressives. They initially flocked to the show with doe-eyed hopes it would be their progressive messiah talking about gender, sex, and social issues when they heard the premise. What they instead got was a show that told them the exact opposite of what they wanted to hear. Women are more emotional and erratic than men and fundamentally different. The tomboy characters isn't trans, she's just a tomboy who likes men. Transmen are biologically women no matter what they say. Not every weird guy is a bad person and sometimes its your own paranoia and faults clouding your judgement. It was a bait and switch of their own making and for the weeks they championed the show they ended up looking like fools.
The show wasn't anything to get upset about. It just started off slow. There were a few jokes and the main character even mentions how her dad hated the cops for ruining their trip by giving him a speeding ticket. It'll take a few episodes to find its footing, I'm sure. Are speeding tickets over there really around $1,500 ? No wonder people get pissed. I'm surprised they didn't pull some dumb shit like Mercedez did with Aquatope and call it a "queer coded" show since apparently women can't be platonic friends. Although Rebecca Silverman thought it was yuri, much to her dismay. Even Richard Eisenbeis has to make it political and mention "racial profiling" since he's a white dude in Japan. Oh, you poor oppressed gaijin. Funny you mention Chiaki, I found some dirt on that troon. Tomoaki Hirai is his actual name (he still uses it as on his linkedin profile and it's still his facebook URL despite going by "Chiyaki" now) and he went to College Park High School in Pleasant Hill, CA and graduated in 2010. It seems that Hirai has a kink for translating trap manga and is some sort of furry. A three-headed catgirl? His main twitter profile is private in order to save us the weird gay furry shit that constantly gets retweeted, I'm sure. Don't worry, there's still anime commentary and ugly selfies avaiable on a separate anime shitposting account: https://twitter.com/AnimatedEmpress/ANN's preview guide hasn't gotten to the shows I care about yet so I thought I'd take one last look. The forums have been overtaken by discourse about the police anime, but what I find most amazing is...

What got me is this person's last post was from 2010, but they just came back to post this arguing against the guy. Granted going off the name I suspect it's Chiaki Hirai of AniFem (who also wrote a tweet thread calling the show out for being copaganda)
Mercedez you say? She wrote the AniFem review of this show, which jumps on it for being "copaganda" even moreso than Caitlin did. As someone who normally likes Mercedez, this review is actually not what I'm normally used to from her.I'm surprised they didn't pull some dumb shit like Mercedez did with Aquatope and call it a "queer coded" show since apparently women can't be platonic friends.
Caitlin's review isn't even making any sense whatsoever. It's out, everyone. And it's good. (The reviews, not the show I didn't watch that.)
@MarzGurl does/did have an account their forums, but I don't think she's written an article for ANN.Caitlin's review isn't even making any sense whatsoever.
Someone update the ED article since it's outdated and missing a lot of shit (also MarzGurl was never ANN staff?). Lynzee and Caitlin have enough dirt that they probably deserve their own articles like Zac and Jacob too.
It's out, everyone. And it's good. (The reviews, not the show I didn't watch that.)
