Depends on what you by "hacking tricks". It's not like in the movies where someone sits down and furiously types until they break through the firewalls. It's more covert sneak than a full frontal assault. A hacker might send an email with an attachment or just rely on some gullible sucker to click a link, cause of course someone posted a download of that latest AAA title, you can trust me buddy. Certainly it is much tougher to get through spam filters and antivirus software but luckily, human stupidity is the eternal x-factor.

I understand the cynicism totally, but let's look at it from a real-world perspective.
If most of us get swatted, they see it as a chance to break out whatever 1033 program military equipment they have (besides those pesky M-16s that tend to walk away), and go larp as the FBI HRT.
Tim pays more taxes in a year than us 22-24% paying plebs do over decades. He might as well be a Saudi Prince in that part of the country. I get that the cops quickly realized what was up, but I honestly can't believe they actually left when they had a legit exegent circumstance. You know they wouldn't stop a SWAT raid on any of us in the lower tax brackets. I can't believe they'd be allowed to leave without clearing the Beanie Kingdom first, especially when Tim put on for the camera and asked them to leave. I liked Poso a little early on but the more I heard him speak the less I trusted the guy, but now he seems to be the new Murphy. They were already alternating weeks as before Murphy was weekly, and I wouldn't be surprised if Poso ended up having his own closet full of homosexuality and other dumb shit. I also remember Glee coming out when I was in high school or something and it was just a run of the mill show but with gay singing. I never really watched it but I do remember one of the cast members was caught with a fuck ton of kiddie porn after his girlfriend turned him in and then offed himself, so there's that.
As for Tim's squad, outside from a few outside hires who seem to be doing most of the work (network engineers and the guy who was with the cops, Andy) the majority of people there are retarded and useless. Even his past hires like Rocco and Emily who were his friends, or Ian's ex, were all failures as people before and after they met Tim. Now most of them want to sink Tim at all costs.
