Unpopular opinion, perhaps….but I believe her when she says it wasn’t about the money. Well, not completely; she was feeling greedy for the extra, sure.

But I feel that this was just a big example of Chantal needing to live her delusion.

Chantal creates and lives in a world of delusion, where she is the hot one, everybody wants her and her health is perfect. It’s a fragile bubble, this delusion and is frequently pecked by doctors letters and by ‘trolls’ who come in chat to tell truths that pop her bubble.

No amount of wishful thinking and drug highs can keep her delusion bubble going for ever. These bubbles are fragile.

Every normal person who joined at 5 bucks to speak actual truth to her was pecking at her delusion bubble……she needs them gone. As her life crumbles, (Nader is awful, She’s fat, she can’t get better men, she owes vast sums to the tax man, etc) she needs a stronger hug box to keep out anybody who shatters her delusions.

What she wants is that 30 bucks tier full of VIBS who will be unquestioning yes-men and never speak actual truth about how pathetic her life really is and how knife edge she lives with her health.

This is the only life she wants to live. A fantasy created by the lies in her head and the drug numbness…..all with a hugbox to be there and admire her.

As already pointed out. YouTubers are supposed to make tiers like this to add to the audience‘s enjoyment. Chantal wanted this for entirely selfish reasons. I hope some of the diehard fans see what she’ was planning. (Nothing for you). Chantal only did this for her ego….not for anyone who truly supports her.

This was,, quite possibly one of the most selfish things she has ever done and she never spared a thought about how her channel would service her true supporters.

IF (big IF) I had been a 5 buck supporter for months and felt special on Chantal’s channel, I would be feeling so let down. The idea with the new tiers was to use the 5 buck level as ‘open chat’ which she would never use, as she has shown already. She was never clear on what would be provided on the higher tiers, but it doesn’t matter. Those 5 buck supporters have been kicked in the teeth. I hope they see the light and unsubscribe now, however she decides to proceed..

ETA - I completely agree @Captain's Coffee. In a way it is sad. Not that I feel bad for her, don't get me wrong. That someone has gotten to 37 without being able to face the world is actually sad and quite pathetic. She has no life skills, no interests, no friends, and it seems even her family is done with her.

But she's "YouTube Famous". Except she's not really. There are many other cows on here who have more subscribers and followers. I found her on accident by going down a rabbit hole on YouTube and finding a reaction channel. I started watching her videos thinking the channel was just mean. Still don't like that channel, but the worst of Chantal was yet to come.

I can't watch her unless in BP Chat because she's boring, annoying, and gross. The chat is at least entertaining. I follow her because I still find it so hard to fathom how someone could live like this. But Chantal thinks those like me are jealous. She is so delusional that she believes tons of others want her life.

Every other creator I watch, across a wide variety of genres offer more for membership. Some have reduced pricing during the pandemic. They act like this is their job. If something comes up and they can't post (one had a camera break, another lighting issues, one health) they post ahead of their posting and explain the situation and also promise to make up the content to paying members who get more. Kind of like calling in sick or because your car broke down and working overtime. Angelica Nyqvist is moving from Sweden to the US and filmed a whole month of videos ahead, including members only.

Chantal skips regularly and expects her viewers and members to wait on her, which is the exact opposite. Then she gets pissed when they aren't happy. It reminds me of the storytime someone posted of when she lost her last job. It was all everyone else's fault she got fired. They just hated fat people.

As long as there are people who will watch and join, she'll continue. Or until YT gets tired of her. She's small fry. 100k seems a lot until you look at a lot of other channels and see its really not. With her livestreams and not having a computer, her ad revenue is going to be low compared to someone who can insert adds. And think about it...90k subscribers and not even getting 10% membership.
