Sam Hyde

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
We only saw it 2 or 3 times but how many times in it's entirety doe you think he tried to loop the questions to be about Ethan? Ethan is probably seething.

Funniest thing that could happen:
Joe Rogan invites Sam Hyde on the podcast and the only talk about weightlifting and UFC shit. Don't mention comedy or anything adjacent. Make it the most boring milquetoast sports and supplement convo.

Just imagine the kvetching.

My money though is on Sam fucking up an opportunity to work with Ian because he was just too defensive in assuming idubs wanted to get one over on him.
Aside from the poster Sam gave Ian his usual shtick the entire time, no more and no less. If that was enough to burn his bridge, a collab between the two would never work. I don't think Sam's comedy would work well with the increasingly sanitized iDubbz format.

I hear people say that Ian became more "mature", but all I see is a crippled meme with none of the backbone he had, if he ever had a backbone. At least Filtthyfrank went on to do something else that he loves (though I hadn't checked on him in ages). Hyde didn't kill idubbz, he was just playing with his corpse.

Still, the two seemed to have fun nonetheless

When exactly did this take place? They were talking about NFTs which if memory serves only became a thing in the past year, but as far as I saw, Ian did not have his stupid arm tattoo so it must have been awhile back.

I don't know why Ian chose Sam specifically vs anyone else, but I can't help but sense that there's more to it.

This is extreme speculation on my part, but Ian's kind of become a bit of a Twitter-tier soyboy who's only edgy at about the level of your standard dad joke; he was never really a tough guy to begin with (stupids thought he was because he said "nigger faggot", but whenever you saw footage of him in public it was clear how timid he really was), but he's gotten worse since he started dating Anisa.
I have to wonder if he doesn't look at someone like Sam Hyde and see a bit of what he used to be in there before he surrendered to entropy and got involved in the gross codependent relationship he's in where he secretly gets off to watching an empty headed bimbo melt down and destroy herself, and it makes him want to expose Hyde to prove to himself and everyone else online that every edgy guy on the internet is a scared little man behind the scenes like he always was.

For the most part he's right, they usually are, comedians everywhere usually are, but Ian's not a stupid man; if he wasn't blinded by some ulterior motive he would've known full well that if he was alone with Hyde that he'd get steamrolled, because Sam is way, way more aggressive.

The whole thing really comes off as a desperate underhanded move by Ian, but maybe that's just me.
At the end of the day, Dubs fancies himself on a "higher" tier than the traditional YouTubers. Airsoft Fatty was a little weird, so he got a doc. Daxflame hadn't been notable for a decade, let's see what he's up to. So then you got Sam Hyde, who if you don't really get him just comes across as kind of an idiot. and you think it'll be as easy as the rest of them. And that's why he walked into the trap; he literally just didn't "get" Sam Hyde.

The mans entire gimmick was making retard noises at dumb Kickstarter ideas. It's not like he had a solid grasp on the different facets of humor there were out there. He's a lameass who got really big and "respected" as whatever counts as a YouTube comedy star these days and it went to his head, so he thought nothing of a Sam Hyde doc.

I cant be alone in thinking Sam is cringe as fuck and the folks who dickride him even moreso.

I made the mistake of reading the comments on one of his "advice" videos and you couldn't tell if they were responding to a Sam Hyde or Joel Osteen video.

Like @Rocketleaguer said, Youtube's guidelines got so strict that anybody who wanted to make money on Youtube had to lose any and all personality they had so they could stay monetized. All of the top tier youtubers have congealed into a singular amorphous mass with little to no distinction between each other in regards to content or opinions.

They also all moved to Los Angeles, an already soul-corrupting city, combined with a global internet social climate that's only gotten more and more sensitive, bitter, and unfun post 2016 election. Now they're all super desperate to distance themselves from the days when they used to actively make jokes that could offend and took social politics less seriously by taking down the few "edgy" creators that are still around, like Sam Hyde.
I mean they're rich and miserable in LA. They don't want to admit to having a personality Because God forbid you offend some rich privileged second generation immigrant kid who lives off mommy and daddies cummy monies. There is a reason alot of film industry is moving to Georgia or north Texas. It's because the city of LA and the culture there has become stifling.

I think Ian made a mistake in picking someone anywhere near his level to go after. Ian's non-collaborative interactions with other content creators have been limited to either one-sided videos, like content cop where he doesn't even have the person on to defend themselves or anything that involves confrontation; or he's done shit like show up to Tana Mongeau's event which was low-hanging fruit in every aspect of that scenario. I'm not idolizing Sam by saying that, I'm sure if Ian had a one on one with Keemstar it would've gone similarly in terms of Ian not being able to come out of it looking the way he wanted. He's socially awkward so this kind of prolonged interaction that he didn't have control over ended up being his comedic kryptonite.

I mean to be fair idubbz back in let's say 2015-2017 was one of the greatest gifts to YouTube. However he became a meek and weak because of personally allowing his GF to have an only fans and trying to cater to the progressive Los Angeles audience who are just a bunch of unfunny cunts who want to bring others down to their level because they're talentless hacks.

I never really looked into it, but did Idubbbz meet his GF before he got internet famous? Cause that's like the only reason why I can think of why he'd still be with her besides the Hollywood affect like you said. Like, Ian used to make fun of people like his GF but ig time just changes people.

I could be wrong but the implication seems to be that Ian was always that way, he just didn't expose it to his audience until much later. By "later" meaning, once the cash cow had produced enough for him presumably. As far as I remember leading up to the Anisa thing he already wasn't nearly as active on Youtube as he once was. If this was his personal fetish as many are assuming, it was bound to come out eventually. I really doubt he decided to become a cuck just to please a leftwing audience. His audience was built on people who think nigger faggot is funny so I can't see that being the reason. Ian had the money to pay off a girlfriend/wife of decent quality, he just chose someone who fit what he was looking for, and from what I've seen over the years, people who knew him irl indicate that he's autistic enough that he isn't exactly a pleasant person to be around either, probably especially for a woman.

He was already big when he met Anisa. She was a small-time streamer who'd broken up with another streamer before getting with him. There's speculation she was fucking around with Ian when she was with this other guy though. This was circa 2016-2017 I think
