For example I'm about 99% sure the first family that they gave $5,000 CASH to is the person that they're working on the project with and then all of the other families are just kind of also there to be helped. It's also pretty obvious which stuff that they're keeping for themselves and which is for others.

It's another gross grift that makes people think they're helping natives when in reality it's Kev n Frends, one greedy family (they are native) whose working with Penny whose been a lifelong family friend, and yes likely some natives will get some schleppings from it as a consolation prize.

The funniest thing is their charity is for Livestock & Animals, not Natives so it can't be written as their charity... all the money that they're raising for the charity is literally just through GoFundMe so it's basically just grifts all the way down, no actual money being self-made. The weed looks like ass. Like it is either old or came from Mexico or some shit. They're in like the current weed heart of the US outside maybe California right? Technically it's like a half yes? If you make your own electric yes but like.... you have a cellphone plan lmfaooo so no.

Most homesteaders modernly are a bit like this:
  • Off grid electric (solar etc.)
  • Back up generator just in case
  • Lumberjack your own heating
  • Water pump from well or powered by electric
  • Make all their own meat (raise it, the tranch does do mutton/lamb and chicken and probably duck so I'll give them that)
  • Make all their own veggies (lol the tranch wishes)
  • Do milk/cheese/soap or something with pregnant animals
  • Use modern farm equipment
  • HAVE A FUCKING VET (this will never happen for them)
  • Generate actual income (not from gibs) from their farm or at least just replace the costs associated with food/electric but still have day jobs
I unironically encourage as many people as possible to stick it to electric and DIY some solar shit. Same with growing your own food either indoors or outdoors or at least buying from farmers markets to support local people and not consoomerist shit.

100% off grid would be like the show homestead rescue. You may or may not have an emergency phone. You probably do NOT have internet and your homestead generates its own income so you don't need a job or to grift.

I'd be careful of drawing too many conclusions on what Kevin himself have claimed about growing up - he's also said that when he told his mom he was autistic she shot him down since she's supposedly worked with autistic children, yet he's supposedly had all these obvious signs of? I think it's worth to remember that Kevin lies a lot. He's right now trying to LARP as an autistic tranny princess, so this fits him... at this moment.

I'd be more curious to what people that grew up with Kevin made of him.

Quite right. I think it's more plausible that he's merely using his past in order to gain sympathy, rather than concocting things out of the ether to gain the same effect. As Kevin isn't really smart enough to form even a partly believable backstory for himself. He'd have to draw on some kernel of the truth in order to then twist it into something that paints him as a victim of a world that doesn't understand him. Also, this is more of a personal opinion, but I just find it hard to believe a man can fetishize weighted blankets and not be autistic in nature. Still, I concur that it'd be interesting to hear from Kevin's family and associates from the past, in order to gain a better picture of who he is as a man.
