You are a hero for posting these.

My For Steam and Country has outsold her 10 to 1 in books.

My Flying Sparks has outsold her 2 to 1 in comics.

There's a blackout where professional reviewers refuse to talk about my books, despite giving her endless free coverage. She was nominated for a hugo award by the same worldcon that banned me to try to destroy my career.

I love winning despite them. Fuck the SJW industry. Merry Christmas.

I'll admit, the Crash Override book sales surprised me. I expected more sales from those "stick it to Gamergate" types. I wonder how many of those purchases went right into a library, where they'll never be checked out.
It’s not that surprising when you really think about it. SJWs care first and foremost about how they appear to others online. Reading a book doesn’t help with them at all. Time spent reading a book is time not spent further cultivating their online personalities. Just remember that despite those dismal sales, the book still got optioned for a movie they fortunately never wound up getting made.

564 libraries worldwide have it right now (plus a few more that offer it as an ebook):
Presumably at least a few more had it and then got rid of it.

For that matter, at least 75 of the 715 "Goddess Mode" sales were to libraries.

Not to powerlevel but...

1) You have never heard of me. Promise.
2) I was published in a magazine selling 10,000 copies.

You may be surprised, depending on the magazine.

I believe it, book and video game sales have a lot in common in that you can be completely unknown but still do really well hitting certain markets and metrics. Despite all her effort, I'm not surprised how Chelsea's sycophants will spend money on feel-good ideas but not actual physical products.

Joe Public does a really lousy job of paying attention to any but the biggest names.

Even by industry standards though, Quinn's sales numbers are lousy.

Goddess Mode is about what I expected but Crash, after all these years? And that was closer to her prime. Jesus.

I can't be bothered to find my comment on it, but Quinn's book deal is your bog standard "offer a very public figure a book deal and hope the movie gets optioned" that 90 percent of the time tanks and ends with the book filling discount bins and Dollar stories for years.

They got a movie option, so the publisher probably didn't lose too much on this, but those sales as you saw, definitely made this the book deal equivalent of a pity fuck. Which is why Hugo be damned, she went into comics and not books after this.

Not surprised at all. That book was in the $1 bins before the year it released ended.

To twist the words of Mark Twain...

"Woke fiction, the kind of stories everyone praises, and nobody buys."

You and me both. Not going to lie, as toxic and terrible as it is to be inside the trad publishing beast, watching them repeatedly fail to get anyone they hype up to actually sell enough books to turn a profit provides me with an incredible amount of Schadenfreude.

All the friendly press and rigged awards can't help you if your product is terrible and a market for it does not exist.

As for your books being ignored by trad pub news... DM me, I know a few outlets you may want to speak with.

564 libraries worldwide have it right now (plus a few more that offer it as an ebook):
Presumably at least a few more had it and then got rid of it.

And you, my pickle friend, struck the dirty little secret of how most of these books are subsidized: being purchased by libraries, schools and universities.

Hell, that's half the reason Tor and the other wokies are desperate to cover themselves in friendly press and rigged awards... if the libraries don't pick them up, nobody does. And your average Joe Public doesn't pay enough attention to what libraries and schools pay for with their tax dollars they keep getting away with this. The front lines of wokeness wasn't politics, movies, or even publishing... it was librarians.

Ironically, it would also be the easiest place to cut the knees off of the beast. Anybody with a library card can request libraries purchase books - and each request like that not only puts money in the pocket of an author you support or who shares your beliefs, but takes the power of curation away from your standard lefty librarian with too many cats and a bad die job.

It seems like a small thing, but as you see here, for Quinn alone, libraries accounted for between 10-20 percent of her total sales... apply that to Tor and the entire Woke YA Publishing industry... it ads up.

And all you need to do to break that self-sustaining cycle is have a library card and spend a minute or two filling out each new book request.

I come bearing news.

Self-published author Jon Del Arroz, who considers himself the leading Hispanic voice in science fiction, revealed the sales numbers of “trad-pub” writer Zoe Quinn and they’re not good at all.

Quinn, known for her role in Gamergate and running a crowdfund campaign that never produced a product, attempted to transition to a writer and take on fiction with novels and comic books but it hasn’t worked out despite having DC Comics and big-time publishers behind her.

Comparing the sales of his own fiction novel, For Steam and Country – A Steampunk Fantasy, which are far and away better than Quinn’s at moving units, Del Arroz revealed Quinn has barely sold 4,000 copies combined of her autobiography Crash Override: How Gamergate Destroyed My Life and the trade paperback of her 2019 comic series Goddess Mode.

According to Nielsen BookScan numbers Del Arroz found on the forum site Kiwi Farms – and that he said he independently verified after they were posted by a publishing insider going by Boston Brand – Quinn only sold 3,441 copies of her autobiography while the trade paperback version of Goddess Mode (a Vertigo/DC release) only moved a measly 715.

Goddess Mode was illustrated by Robbie Rodriguez, who is known for the lewd photos of his anatomy he shared on Twitter and sent to Ethan Van Sciver.

Del Arroz claims to have sold around 10 times those numbers with For Steam and Country and having only the help of his supporters plus direct sales through Amazon. He has been blacklisted by mainstream publishing and the literary Hugo Awards for not being woke.

Del Arroz would also report on novelist Patrick S. Tomlinson’s sales numbers. Tomlinson targeted Del Arroz back in 2018, which resulted in Del Arroz suing WorldCon76 after they described him as a racist and banned him from the convention.

That lawsuit would eventually be settled with WorldCon76 issuing an apology and paying Del Arroz a sum of $4000. However, WorldCon76 Chair Mike Roche would also admit to spending over $100,000 in legal fees after banning Del Arroz from the convention.

Boston Brand’s numbers show that Tomlinson – who’s open about his hatred for Donald Trump – and his best-selling books, The Ark and Trident’s Forge, only amount to 2,631 and 1,087 units sold, respectively.

“There’s not a market for these grifters and they need to learn and understand that,” Del Arroz states in his YouTube video.

He adds, “I think it’s hilarious. We are having the time of our lives watching these people implode with WorldCon this year and with the sales numbers being leaked.”

Also @Boston Brand apparently got screenshot quoted.

The important part, of course.

Old for Kiwi Farms, but now it’s being spread online more.

Went through her recent history. Pretty boring. Mostly complaining about how no one else is vaxxed. While making 3d printed armor.
Dunno what a 35 year old is doing dressing up as a maid with cat ears in a bathroom.

Two guesses: reaching the midlife crisis early or trying to appeal to whatever thirsty weeb followers there are long after she ran her course of fame with GamerGate.

If you ever have done nightclub security you'll know a type of woman. The one that in her 20s had the attention and it was a decade long party, but as each year past 30 went by, she got a little more haggard and a little more worn out. The attention she used to get in the night club is now going to younger, better looking and more appealing women. As a result she dresses more provocatively, acts more outrageously and gets a hell of a lot more bitter at the younger girls she perceives as stealing her spotlight and a hell of a lot more desperate for the male attention she once had. Every club scene has this type of woman.

What we're seeing here. This is the online equivalent.

1. Not powerleveling but I can back all of this up
2. As soon as I saw this post Spotify started playing “Believe” by Cher, which was the goddamn war anthem for these women two decades ago.

Well, she's got to do something with all of that down time between the decreasing amount of virtue signaling pity gigs in dying industries. Although, I'm not sure diving into a another subculture that's already full of hypersexual basket cases that don't look like a linebacker lost a bet is really going to do wonders for her self esteem.

All I can say to anybody about this type of thing is when skydiving have the common sense to pull the cord before you hit the ground. It is fun whilst it lasts but it is much better to have a soft landing as the end to the ride than a hard splat.

There are very few better examples of a hard splat online than Zoe Quinn.
