This is what people watch streamers for. To hear them beg and whine.

Because if you think that DSP streams are for "chill and fun gameplay.", like Cheers, well guess what? You get to hear about HIS problems. His trash not being picked up? Well, you get to hear that. You get to hear a shut-in's issues! Oh, your brother died? "Well, you're banned! Go be Mr. Miserable somewhere else." You lost your job? "Well, I haven't gotten a tip in 20 minutes! You're banned!" How dare you derail his stream? He's trying to have a fun and positive stream, idiot!

Living with your parents can be a workable living situation if it makes sense financially. It's how people live for a lot of human history. But the caveat is that it requires the adult child to actually live like an adult, which Phil won't do. He will expect his parents to spoil him exactly like they did when he was growing up. He won't pick up any responsibilities around the house unless forced to. And given how much it seems like his mom spoiled him, I have a hard time believing he will pick up any slack to make the lives of his elderly parents any easier. He was having them do basic household stuff when they visited.
Instead of acting like the mature adult he always claims to be, he would be the same spoiled leech he has always been.

This whole living with parents taboo is mostly an american thing. European countries whole families live and die under the same roof.

It's some power tripping related thing narcissistic streamers do,there is a League of Legends streamer called Hashinshin that got cancelled for talking to a 15 year old and he is a narcissist like Phil, the point is that this guy just like Phil never reads chat unless it is to tell people to STFU and call someone stupid, Phil is just an internet though guy with anger issues that wants to shit talk someone to feel better about himself.

There is zero point in talking in Phil's chat, Phil is literally never saying anything interesting so it's not like you want to add to the conversation when he is spouting 60 IQ opinions or talking about food, there is also no reason to talk to other people because they are all wheelchairs so it's not like other people are going to say something funny or interesting, if you talk about non approved topics you get called an idiot and banned, if you ask Phil questions that are not about food you get banned, if you contradict his 60 IQ opinions(which are all of them) you get banned,Phil never reads chat unless he is calling someone an idiot so it's not like he will positively interact with your message(you need to pay for having your message read), there is literally zero reason to type anything, in fact his wheelchairs said in his chat before than they don't talk out of fear of being banned, it wasn't put quite that way but one wheelchair with a member icon said something along the lines of "If I don't have anything positive or constructive to say I don't say it".

One more thing,how is it possible that he has like 8 people in chat(including him and his bot) but over 200 viewers? Is OIC using viewbots or something? William The Alchemist started a stream 3 minutes ago,he has 9 viewers and 9 participants in chat.

I look forward to the days where we go whole streams with a totally dead or near dead chat with just mods. It seems like a real possibility a couple years from now at the rate engagement has been falling off recently. Phil isn't going to be happy when none of his remaining regulars care to respond to him.

I imagine Phil has a lot of silent viewers. I would be genuinely interested to see his "viewing time" stats for his uploaded videos.

Not saying this is what you were implying but what I would argue is thus: the DSP verse has gotten so convoluted with trolls, fake trolls, fans, ironic fans etc. that we really have no idea what is going on behind da scenes.

The only honest fans left are Derich and whatever whale is tip-hand-holding him through the game.

I imagine Phil has a lot of silent viewers. I would be genuinely interested to see his "viewing time" stats for his uploaded videos.

I only find 2 places where he gives any specifics when looking on PigPigGo about his video uploads.

One he's talking about how on KOGayming his average viewer engagement watch time is like 5 minutes and how every video on that channel is 15 to 20+ minutes.

The other he's talking about how he got told (I'm assuming by Machinima, possibly Curse though) that he needed to go back to uploading 10 minute videos. He says his viewer engagement watch time for DSPGayming was about 5 to 6 minutes at the time. He says he started uploading videos that were 20 to 25 minutes long and his MCN told him to go back to uploading 10 minute videos because his viewer watch time engagement wasn't going up despite the longer videos.

It's very possible that for most of his views on new videos people are still only watching 5 to 10 minutes of a video before they are clicking off.
