I don't think she's actually afraid of it ever happening. More like the standard "oh, I'm too much of an artist to accept any kind of mainstream success, please don't mind me stuffing my pockets with money" speech her ilk loves to recite.

Possibly, but personally I think what she's worried about is "dudebros" or whatever seeing her game and making fun of it. Has Markiplier done any little slight that these people could cry "white supremacy/alt-right" over?

Most of the internet has no problem with him. But for Dani's circle of the internet, which knows not the meaning of nuance, he's friends with PewDiePie so of course he's an alt-right Nazi sympathizer who LITERALLY genocides minorities with each video he uploads.

I believe Markiplier's played both Huniepop games on his channel to their completion, along with spinoff Huniecam Studio (views for all of these tend to sit somewhere around 3 million). One particular stat raising dating sim, Blush Blush, was featured on his channel and the video has 10M views. He's played Dream Daddy (7M views on the first video), DDLC (7M views), as well as itch.io/indie standouts like Emily is Away 1 & 2, Vee is Calling, Kitty Powers Matchmaker, and Hot Date (where you date a pug).
A couple other dating games are scattered throughout but his uploads in this space tend to hit at least one of four rings: Sexy, Scary, Streamer/Youtuber bait, or Funny/Meme-worthy.
Blush Blush and Dream Daddy I would consider standouts because he has 'ties' to both (the first game seemed to have pulled from his likeness while the second was produced in part by the Game Grumps). If a game doesn't fall into one of the above circles, they're typically a hot topic and a visual novel/dating game that has made something of an impact outside of the niche's core audience. Emily is Away is an example of this, as well as games by this developer.
However, why she brought up Markiplier and not a creator like Jacksepticeye is beyond me. As far as I can tell, Mark hasn't even played another western favorite, Monster Prom, or its sequel (which has connections to Jesse Cox). He also hasn't played anything in the Life is Strange series. Or Asagao Academy, thought that only did the rounds in the Normal Boots circles. (Forgive me for any incorrect info, all I did was use the search bar on his channel.)

ValiDate, like many of itch.io's worst kept secrets, is a fucking mess. Worst still, it's a political mess. The two highest videos I can find on the first result page for this game are JLongBone's "WHY DOES THIS EXIST?" video, and the Quartering's "Instant Regret!" video. Both of these completely dwarf ValiDate's demo trailer in view count, as they both are well over 70k views. The demo trailer as of this post hasn't reached ten thousand. Only one other video cracks a thousand views on the official channel and that's the Volume 1 trailer. The majority of content when I search for "ValiDate game" is negative-leaning, especially when looking at the highest view counts.
4.9k views: "Worst Dating Sim Ever?"
7.8k views: "I lost braincells"
7.4k views: "racist visual novel on Kickstarter!"
There is no way in hell this visual atrocity is getting recognition from channels like Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, let alone any creator with a few brain-cells that isn't about to do anything except tear the damn thing to shreds. The stink on it is immense and unless it gains a genuine meme following (with people likely laughing at the game, not with it), there is no reason for these creators to flush half their audience down the drain by stepping on this political minefield.
When the bulk of your fan content and positive activity comes from people making lesbian Elsa manifestos and not just Elsa lesbian porn like regular degenerates, nobody with a beefy following is playing your game for free and giving you that sweet, sweet free advertising to boot.

This part especially!!! Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure content creators in that circle (excluding pewdiepie) tend to steer clear of establishing any solid political views with their subscribers. Maybe they'll cave and make very vague statements like "racism is bad guys" due to pressure but that's about it.
Secondly, I'm not sure why Dani is still deluding herself into thinking that Validate is an actual game made to entertain people. It's not like Yansim where despite the game being a dumpster fire you can still milk it for views by just fucking around. Like what was said before, no one's going to willingly throw themselves in controversy over a boring ass dating sim

Dani has an ego problem and might be a legit racist towards white people. Scrolling though her Twitter for 5 minutes is enough proof that she is not likable and will gatekeep things if it get criticized. Worse is that her personality boils down to “YAASSS QWEEN” and I have brown skin.

It’s not surprising that her original Twitter account got suspended and had to open another. It was probably due to her having a sperg out over DA EVOL WYTE PEPOL.
If you want narcissism follow Dani’s Twitter. She really thinks she’s doing something important when her game is already dead in the waters and hasn’t changed much except some character art and posted memes about the characters….

She's an e-grifter. She gets her money off the image that she's one step away from living in a cardboard box, and yet the morons that support her and people like her never seem to make the connection between her lavish lifestyle and her constantly needing free money for existing.
It's quite common, sadly. There's many an asshole who has a thread here who engages in the exact same behaviour, including the flaunting of their consoomerism while begging. I'm willing to bet that she, personally, went through the vast amount of the game's donations, including screwing over her the other 'artists' who contributed OCs to do so. There was always going to be one of them who would abandon their morals and alleged friends once there was real cash available to do so, and she was always the most likely to do it. Now she's entered the Zoe Quinn sphere of having nebulously 'worked' on one computer game, meaning she can whine constantly about how evil gamers are and beg on the basis of being a Brave Womyn of Colour in the most misogynistic industry that ever existed, or ever could exist.
The fact that she lies constantly will go unquestioned, until some point in the next twelve months when one of the other people involved recovers enough from their 'trauma, PTSD and abuse' at her hands and calls her out. She's riding high right now, thinks she's untouchable, but the leopards will eat her face eventually because she's just another no-name terrible person using SJW buzzwords to avoid getting a real job. Not only do they always eat their own, but she has legitimately fucked other people over, and unless she's much, much smarter than all signs point to, she's going to crash and burn eventually.
This is the pride before the fall. She's going to crash and burn, it will all be her own fault, and she won't have the self-awareness to realise that she's to blame for everything bad that will happen to her. Even more embarrassingly, scamming her friends out of five figures for a possibly-vaporware piece of shit VN like ValiDate is the pinnacle of her existence that she currently thinks is a stepping stone.

I just went through this thread again and I’m horribly mistaken.
Dani is EXTREMELY racist towards white and pale skinned people. I really cannot wait for summer to roll around.

What are you talking about Dani, the poster child opposite Tracer for face of the game and the catalyst for everyone coming back together is Winston. Stop pretending he doesn't exist and isn't valuable.
Weird thing about that, 6/7 characters are black despite their cultural background indicating that that wouldn't be the case, and the last 1/7 being an offensive stereotype of the average black man going out for smokes.
