General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Genuine question, why do people think she'd actually decide to pull a Nyanners now? She could've ditched everything months ago and made use of the OfflineTV streamer connections, but she didn't. And with people she's looked up to for years like Jim actually starting to notice her and getting shout-outs from all sorts of people within this kind of sphere, it would be an absolutely horrible decision to randomly pull a Nyanners and ditch at this point. All logical signs are pointing towards her being in it for the long-haul. I really don't get the concern here.
which offers more money? because money can get your teeth fixed by a white man or a jew and not some chink bindi.

I used to stay for superchat readings, but they're way too long for Holos and sometimes Nijis. I'll stick around for small-corpo/indie readings because it takes like 5 minutes.
If anything interesting happens halfway through a Hololive 4-hour superchat reading, it'll either be clipped anyway, or wasn't worth sticking around for anyway.
My two fav are polar opposite when it come to SC reading. Suisei never read SC beside the one that pop-in and she saw it during the stream. Kson read literally every SC even if it take her 2+ hours every day. Personally, I prefer the former. Less strain on the talents and the fans don't have to stick around in fear of missing some random tangent. I do understand the feeling of wanting to acknowledge the donation though (not to mention it's very profitable. For some, It's major part of their income.) Maybe Lui's approach is a good middle ground, don't read out loud and waste everyone time but ensure the donator that she read it by written their name down and post in YT community page.
Calli said on her member stream that Connor has apologized to all the EN members for what he said about Hololive on Ironmouse's stream
This whole "shit talk in public" then "apologize in private" doesn't sit well for me, but I guess drawing attention to something that happened months ago isn't good either. At least I hope he learn not to run his mouth in public when he doesn't really know shits.

So what exactly would she have to say to 'make things right'?
Nothing.
She is in a corporation and corpos are bound to follow the money (duh), sooner or later fishman will order her to stop associating with spergs because it isnt profitable.
It's inevitable, and I'm not gonna blame her for it when it happens.

I'm just gonna laugh.
I trust Yuni more than I trust PC.

To clarify, I don't hate Pippa, I have absolutely nothing against her or the girls (except maybe Lia), I just don't trust fishman and his team.

Dog forgot the 2nd part to the Pippa audience tweet.

Because the tards "found out" (or think they did) something and want a stance . And not taking one is one in of itself.

EDIT: It also doesn't help that she started distancing herself from them when she said not to call her jannies jannies. It feels like nyanners v2 slow mo for some.
These people sound like the retarded far lefties (which they probably harshly criticize) who constantly look to eat their own just because they talked to 1 person they have deemed "haram". Imagine being so much of a fag that you become the thing you hate the most.

I like when they just read out the dono mid stream and react to it but this only works if you don't have too many viewers. Gura doesn't read superchats and I feel as if she did, she would probably make a bunch more on superchats. Talents who read the superchats will get more because the people will donate and then wait out to see how their talent reacts or if she says anything. That said it basically knocks off 1 full day out of their week and I sure as hell won't watch superchat reading streams.

"Hitler did nothing wrong. Trump was the best president. Death to all trannies, and I am against the mixing of the races "

Or some gay shit along those lines.

Tim is at #15, who the fuck donates to him and why? I do find it interesting that a "political commentator" is so high up on that list.

Discords:
For Hololive, there's a comprehensive list here on the wiki.
I don't watch JP Nijis, but there's the NijiEN specific one (direct invite link)
Here's the main one for Niji in general, they have a list of some more specific ones too.

Someone feel free to tell me I'm an idiot and did basic math wrong or read something on the page wrong. If Coco has made $2,954,729 in 432,399 Superchats then she has made on average $6.82 per Superchat. Gura has made $915,782 in 77,608 Superchats, then she has made an average of $11.80 per Superchat.

Edit: Also Suisei at $691,136 in 46,291 Superchats average is $14.93.

Edit2: I am an idiot, the site gives you this information if you go to their actual channel pages. It seems like the read every superchat approach does get you more money, but a lot of them are low value Superchats. If you have a massive viewership and whales in your audience like Hololive and Nijisanji it may arguably not be worth the time and energy to farm Superchats vs just streaming.

As for pleasing /vt/ specifically, she can't and should just ignore it completely. Her options look like this:

Regardless of what happens they'll have a meltdown over it. It's their hobby. I'm sure that she recognizes this.
Tweeting the pipenis seemed to have actually diffused the general on /vt/ for now.

Rushia/Coco are just utter outliers

Might be more important than the T-IBHABBQ part (I joke; I won't Artia bash too much, that dramatic fire has burned itself out)

Other things of actual(?) importance: (just not-Lulu and her sister streaming not-Lulu messing around in the snow for whatever reason :story:)

She streamed this about 3 hours after another 12 hour Demons Souls bender. It's bizarre how much stamina Misumi has. She played Boxman for TWENTY FIVE HOURS without looking tired.

At this rate people are gonna eventually pin down the exact house she lives in :story:

It's the blue one.

I try to stick around for SC readings of the ones I like. A lot of time that reading/chit-chat time is more interesting to me than what they were playing, especially if I'm not really into the game.

For discords, I think they may have been asking if there are discords where the actual talents post and chat, but for HL there is none. Just fan discords (main ones in the link above) but no one officially chats in them, though I'd imagine many of them lurk there and post under alt accounts.

Gura is pretty inconsistent. Sometimes she reads SCs during stream, but then only akasupa or what catches her eye. Sometimes she says she won't read them at all (though pretty good about warning about that ahead of time). But usually if she isn't in a rush and doesn't feel sick or something, she'll read them at the end of her streams. As I said before, those are often the best part of her streams though. But you are right in that I can't remember her ever doing a dedicated SC reading stream like some of them do.

To give my own answer to @(iIivVvbBb-iIimMmvVv)'s question, SC Donation Reading streams are, at worst, boring and innocuous. I don't find them aggressively awful like I do for Monetisation celebration streams, but they're hardly going to sway me to them if something else is on.

I appreciate the ones who actually read the donation messages and interact with them more than the ones who just say '[X] thank you for the superchat!'. Though I haven't watched her do them, I appreciate Petra turning them into spicy noodle challenges and doing something different. I watch Selen and Enna because they're basically zatsudans, and both of them are also prone to announcing things early and spilling interesting stories about themselves.
