US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

With Youngkin now having been sworn into office, here's a laundary list of the thingsthe GOP-controlled House of Delegates plan on doing:
  • Prevent local governments from banning guns from parks and government buildings
  • Cancel a planned minimum wage hike from $11 to $12 scheduled to take effect next year
  • Require women to sign written consent if they want an abortion
  • Require voters to show photo ID at voting polls
  • Cut the early voting period from 45 days to 14 days
  • Repeal a state law requiring school boards to do what the state says regarding transgender policies
And what Youngkin personally wants to do:
  • Get rid of the Governor's cabinet's "chief diversity officer" position that Northam created
  • Rescind the K-12 school mask mandate
All in all, a decent agenda. The Democrats have a 21-19 majority in the State Senate so expect a bunch of DNC money to flow into the state's Democratic Party to ensure that they attempt to stonewall everything.

Bold words from the guy near-literally bitching "BUT WHAT ABOUT MEEEEE" in the Joe Biden thread.

With a double post even.

EDIT: You actually deleted one. Good boy.
Ahem.

I asked, rather reasonably I think, whether it is just that every time Mike Lindell has an oopsie it’s national news, when there are MANY OTHERS (not just me) who are suffering the same and worse.

He SEEMS to be using all this attention to sell more pillows, doesn’t he. It maybe even seems like these problems of his are really helping it out.

I count at least three congresspeople who have had their bank accounts suspended, maybe that should be bigger news than the pillow guy. Just maybe.

It’s like I make you so mad it crosses your eyes so you can’t read straight.

Frankly, it Sounds like your trying to push an agenda talking point onto everyone.

He makes good pillows and actually seems to be fighting for what he believes in. That works for me.

Former Obama adviser Axelrod: Biden's Atlanta speech rhetoric 'not very useful'

(article)
Biden has also been criticized by Rev. Al Sharpton and Sen. Dick Durbin

Former Obama senior adviser David Axelrod added his name to the list of prominent Democrats critical of President Biden’s racially charged speech linking opponents of his party’s federal election overhaul bill to segregationists and Confederates.

"I don’t think the president’s rhetoric in Atlanta was particularly useful," Axelrod, a CNN senior legal adviser said on Thursday. "There are real issues here and they shouldn’t be obscured by hyperbolic rhetoric."

Axelrod was President Barack Obama's senior adviser when Biden was Obama's vice president.

Axelrod’s comment comes days after President Biden accused opponents of the federal election overhaul bill of standing with prominent Democrat segregationists George Wallace and Bull Connor as well as Confederate President Jefferson Davis, also a Democrat.

"So I ask every elected official in America, how do you want to be remembered?" Biden said during remarks from the Atlanta University Center Consortium, on the campus of Clark Atlanta University and Morehouse College. "Do you want to be on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?"

The speech was widely panned by Republicans but was also criticized by some prominent Democrats including longtime Biden ally Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) who said Biden "perhaps went a little too far."

MSNBC commentator Al Sharpton also dinged Biden on the speech, calling it a "You’re going to hell" speech rather than one that would get voters’ support.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki dismissed criticism of the speech by pointing the finger at former President Trump.

"I know there has been a lot of claim of the offensive nature of the speech yesterday, which is hilarious on many levels, given how many people sat silently over the last four years for the former president," Psaki said during a Wednesday press briefing.
"Trump was worse" doesn't work when your guy ran on " not being Trump" and starts spouting off like Trump. Especially when he starts naming historic racist Democrats.
I'm trying not to be TOO optimistic here, but the winds really do seem to be turning against the entire progressive left/Democrat brand in general. Between the Covid narrative collapsing almost overnight, crime exploding all over the place after the George Floyd hysteria of 2020, and economic conditions dramatically souring, it looks like people are sobering up and looking for actual effective government. Democrats simply aren't delivering it on any level. The hysterical rhetoric around the voting rights bill isn't going over well because it's just a naked power grab and everyone can see it for what it is. I don't think they have a winning move at this point with the positions they've staked out and in the long term are probably going to have to drastically alter their core political platform to address emerging realities.
They don't have anything. The big tent approach is at the end of its line.

I'd keep an eye on these two especially:
  • Require voters to show photo ID at voting polls
  • Cut the early voting period from 45 days to 14 days
Because it seems like the VA GOP wants to continue busting the Dems' kneecaps when it comes to "fortification".

Edit: What DNC money? As @Gehenna has pointed out numerous times already, they're flat broke.

"Why is something happening to a celebrity news when the same thing happening to a literal nobody isn't?!"

It's news because it's a bank doing it, not social media.

I know there's been some Paypal/Mastercard fuckery before, but it's scary when it's an actual bank saying "we will not take Republican money." Especially with how close all these banks are.

I used to think that there would be at least one bank that would gladly take Republican dollars (they are greedy soulless banks after all), but now I'm not 100% on it.
Banks love money. Why should they care? I betcha they have money through other "unclean" methods and shady organizations. But some pillow guy crosses the line. Seriously?

My business is just fine. I just have too much self respect to hold a press conference every time I have a problem.
I appreciate the fact that he's one of the few guys actively going after the dems and trying to shine a spotlight on their voter fraud.

Let me ask you a question, have you actually tried one of his pillows?
Its' pretty nice and fluffy.

Tfw you're so confident in the popularity of your party's message that you do absolutely everything in your power to prevent poor people from voting. The abortion policy seems like it's aimed at shaming people from socially conservative backgrounds from getting an abortion, though, so I applaud the Virginia GOP's efforts to increase their state's black/latino population.

I got to give Lindell credit. He's one of the few guys that don't back down on what he believes in no matter what!!

Not a bad agenda. Carious to see what happens. Considering they just need to win two democrats over in the state senate

That one was a pretty funny situation all around because the Black Supremacists and the Dindu Fetishists tried to lead with the stance of "why was a cop even getting involved it was just a friendly neighborhood knife fight" before the smarter ones realized how fucking stupid that sounded and the whole thing was memory holed. Like it was just black culture or something and the cops were being completely unreasonable in trying to get involved.
I remembered how people tried to say it was the get back at the deeek chauvin verdict because it happened om the same day of chauvin's conviction. Than the evidence came out and everyone just pissed off. They knew there was no defending makayla after the video came out

I'm not familiar with it, but sounds like something to check out. I'm just disappointed in myself for forgetting that Gavrilo Princip was a Pan Slav guy, not just a dumb anarchist. I don't know if that changes the broader point about 19th Century bad ideas, I don't think a united southern Slavic state would ever work in the long term without an outside force keeping them together.
The real Pan-Slavic types were the Serbian glowies. The plan was to kill Ferdinand, destabilize A-H, and then call in Russia via their alliance to do the bulk of the heavy lifting as they snapped up the Balkans territory, which would then be ruled by the Serbs as a unified pan-Slavic client state of Russia. A-H and Serbia had a lot of history, usually Serbia getting cucked out of territory by the Austrians. For example, the nation of Alb*nia only existed thanks to A-H thinking their self-determination would be a lovely excuse to cockblock the Serbs from access to the Mediterranean. As a result, the ridiculous demands of the Austrians post-assassination were in fact, part of the plan.

Youngkin has signed a bunch of executive orders and directives immediately after being sworn in. Probably gonna have to wait a bit for exact details but he's "investigating wrongdoing in Loudoun County" which suggests that the tranny rape school board saga is far from over. He's also creating a commission to "combat antisemitism" but that's the price of business I guess.
Edit: What DNC money? As @Gehenna has pointed out numerous times already, they're flat broke.
The brokeness is metaphorical to a certain extent. If they weren't even capable of using some emergency fund cash to bribe a couple state senators then they'd be shuttering the doors on everything.

It's Virginia, the state will be screwed demographically in 15 years anyways.

Please, for the love of God, let this be true. I want nothing more than to see that little psychopath get God-given wrath for what he did.
