How long have she and Manaki been married? Yes three years is what they say you need before applying for PR but the majority of cases they're not going to get it. Five years, as far as I know, is when a lot of these cases are granted. And even then it's if you have ties. As most married people start to have kids around this point it's seen as a good enough reason to grant them PR. Otherwise you have to wait 8-10 years.

So I don't think she has PR and I don't believe Manaki's parents actually adopted her in the legal sense. But I guess in the end we'll find out soon what's going on.

Without showing my power level too much, I can give an insight on Asian marriage.

I think his parents tried to push him into staying with his wife. Not going to sperg too much but Manaki was already a guy pushing 30, living in his company's dorm, and was obsessed with a certain idol. He wasn't exactly the type to get married. Suddenly, he managed to meet his idol, get into a rushed marriage, and dealt with her insane mother.

After he basically rescued her from Korea, they did try to live as a normal husband and wife while Venus admitted to being close to his mom and sister for a time. They likely saw her as the innocent, damaged young wife that their son saved and took pity on her. Venus has even said that after she got the surgery, Manaki wanted a divorce but his mother told him to consider her mental state.

Venus is the poster child of what can happen when a child is abused her entire life and raised in the spotlight of the internet. Putting it bluntly, she is beyond fucked up and already was diagnosed with a personality disorder, a learning disability she was never properly treated for, and a severe eating disorder. We see her spiral online and Manaki was the one that sheltered her and enabled her while she did this shit.

While she is a victim, she has become the abuser as well. Manaki has had his online reputation essentially destroyed by her bs but it was family pressure that likely made him stay with her as long as he has. He's the oldest son and had issues with women for years (only going off of what Venus has said so we don't know how accurate it is) and very suddenly had a woman that wanted to marry him. She did come off as a quiet and innocent type for a time. They were likely each other's firsts for a lot of moments and he helped her through her recovery after nearly dying from the butchery.

To give him props he did try by keeping her safe, funding her recovery, and even watching her during her multiple mental breakdowns. But after a time it just becomes too much. His parents likely have realized that while he can babysit her, he will never be able to have a family with her after she decided to be a sex worker. The two have evolved into a codependent mess and hopefully Manaki has decided enough is enough.

Don't get me wrong, Manaki wasn't the best husband she could have gotten but he was there for her and probably figured this Youtube thing was going to be over and she'd be a good little housewife. He probably figured that she'd stay at home, have his dinner ready when he got back, have some sexy times later on and he'd be living the dream. Problem is that Venoos is damaged goods and she has been for a long time. How much of this is her mother's fault I don't know but she does bear part of the blame.

Venus needs somebody to take care of her. She can't hack it on her own. She's got no skills. Manaki wasn't the right guy for her at all.

I sadly saw a lot of her livestream the other day. The girl looks horrible and needs a caretaker, not a husband. Her situation is horrible but she evolved into an abusive wreck and is continuing the cycle of abuse. She doesn't know life outside the internet and likely never will. The girl is going to keep getting worse.

Why do people keep going on about how she must have permanent residency bc she’s lived there for more than 3 years and is married to a Japanese citizen? That’s not how PR works. You have to prove that

- You can support yourself financially/have a stable job (nope. Onlyfans and YT do not count
- You are of good character and behavior (hello, public drunkenness, porn etc.)
- You have paid taxes/ contributed to the Japanese SS system (doubt this)
- You satisfy the requirements if your current visa, i.e. stable marriage if on a spouse visa (lol no)

Whatever visa arrangement this girl might have does not include PR. Am I missing something here?

I truly hope so. Switzerland is a better place to live than Japan. It has the highest standard of living in the world and it consistently ranked as the best country to live in. I hope she doesn’t have a PR and goes back to Switzerland because it’s a far better place for her than Japan. Bring a Swiss citizen allows you to work certain jobs in their banking industry only open to its Swiss citizens, she could absolutely get a nice job there even at her skill level. (Being mentally fit enough to show up on time and act appropriately is another matter.)

Having to give up her uwu schtick would be a huge plus. Her living her life as a gaijin is terrible for her. Her entire life has been living as an outsider or snowflake to garner internet attention. Moving to Switzerland where she could blend in with everyone else, could be an average person and work a normal job would be great for her. Being a gaijin makes her physical appearance paramount in Japan and sets her apart from everyone else. It would be psychological beneficial if the focus was off her physical appearance and blending in with the society around her.

Japan was always her fantasy/ escape. In Japan, people adored her during her internet fame to the point there were meetups with her fans (one ended up being Manaki). There would be no abusive mother there, people would be kind to her, and she could be happy. But reality happened and she didn't get to live happily
happily ever after there.

Going to Switzerland could be the best thing that could happen to her but there will always be a real fear that her mother/ abuser, could fine her. Margo will go to insane methods to find her daughter. Remember when Manaki and Venus had to get the local police in their neighborhood involved because Margo found their place and (unsuccessfully) tried to break in with power tools (in the middle of the day)?
