They Wrote your description down...and then the Salaried Manager either...Threw out that sheet of descriptions...or sent it to the Cooperate Office...where it was thrown out.

Yes, because turnover in retail is already high enough that Businesses do not care about firing Wagies, My Store had 4 people just "quit" by No Showing this week alone. The Cooperate Office sets the policy and if the Management fire people over it..everyone looks at each other and Shrugs because for every Wagie that will stand up and say "fuck this I am out" there are 3 more that are getting told "get a job or get out" by their parents.

Retail is literally built on a treadmill of people who work for less than a year being babied by the 30% of workers who have been there for longer than a year. Honestly in my store Screaming "FUCK OFF COMMIE" wouldn't even do anything just because 50% of the people at the doors legitimately DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.

Keep complying bro, I'm sure the measures will stop if you comply just a bit more.

Well clearly you don't live in Boston. Almost every single retail business here has 'now hiring' signs, and everything feels understaffed. Workers absolutely do have the ability to decide what to enforce, and what not to enforce. I walk into businesses without a mask and am not hassled by it, even though there's a citywide mandate. Also, people here speak English perfectly well.

I'll admit I was being hyperbolic when I said 'screamed', but I absolutely will vocally push back on this. Allowing this sort of policy to take place without any friction just gives the go-ahead for further restrictions. I plan on moving away, but I'm not going to be passive about this bullshit while I live here.

I would agree. As someone who’s been a wagie on/off for the last while, I personally never really enforced policies I didn’t like. Never pushed brand credit cards, never asked anyone to put on a mask, never yelled to social distance, etc. Especially now, 2 years in.

I’ve never been fired, may not have been the most favored employee or got the good shifts, but it is slightly in your power as a wagie to not comply. You don’t have to just be a warm body.

So does my store, they will still fire people. Store Management do not care about Staffing. They did not care about staffing Pre-Rona, If someone higher up complains they just say about how there isn't enough qualified help, or how they have to fire people for being poor workers. When I worked overnights the department I worked in for 2 years was at 30% of the "Suggested" Staffing for the entire time.

That has nothing to do with "Not having the ability to decide what to enforce" a Non-Manager typically can't enforce shit in general because lawsuits and liabilities, the only Non-Management workers who really get a choice when it comes to what to enforce are the folks who do Financial Stuff because that has to do with money laundering and fraud.

The entire idea of "Workers have power" that has cropped up because of "The Great Resignation" is a god damn fantasy on par with My Little Pony, The Idea Communism that Works or The idea that anyone like Kamalha Harris. The Gears of a Company do not care what the Wagies think, they only care about grinding away and throwing yourself into them hoping that you will somehow cause them to grind to a god damn halt with your tiny flea body is a fucking.

Stores will usually just pile hours onto employees who do not leave. I should know as I have worked in minimum wage since COVID, and this usually affects me. My current job signed me on to do around 12 hours a week. Recently a person left and some on vacation and that amount is soon going to be over 20 in a week. My old job at the pizza place is practically known for its wonky scheduling. I used to work maybe 20-25 a week while in school, and the now single manager there never gets a break. If you want cash, now is the time to work minimum wage as the hours are high.

Yeah that happens too, there are always a few workers in retail who are pathetic enough to work "Full time hours" without being made a full time employee.

I remember stumbling upon a Reddit not to long ago where a college student asked what a reasonable amount of hours to work would be. A lot of the answers were like 30-40 a week, which, holy shit, just end it at that point.

A lot of people, including me do this though. I worked at a family owned place and those ties are what caused many there to basically go full-time while in school. I liked the manager, and I loved the crew, so I would work way more than I should have.
I think there is some level of social need or future worry that cause these types more than being pathetic and easy to control. A lot of people at the old place were getting their social life through it, and I know a lot that wanted/needed cash.

And yet company after company in the past has put in place policies that ensure anyone who dare offend a troon gets fired. Because troons are noisy and make a fuss, they just keep winning. So yes, I'd say the troon method works. It also works for blacks and Muslims.

It's almost like when people are afraid that a negative interaction with someone of your group will cost them their job or get them assaulted, they treat you the way you want to be treated. There's a reason why protest and civil resistance works and the people who do it most (troons, blacks, etc.) win victory after victory.

People who violate human decency deserve what's coming to them. "Just following orders" is not an excuse, especially not in this case when no one is making you work at gunpoint. Abuse enough of these people, they either quit or they stop checking.

I'm not interested in making wagies lives easier when they're doing some papers please shit. My goal is to make them feel uncomfortable, and make them evaluate what they're actually doing.

Morons like you are why these rules are never going away. Why the fuck do you think zero pushback and passive compliance is a good idea if you disagree with these mandates?
