Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

So. I decided today to get the booster because it's way too annoying to get tested every single time I go to the gym. Yeah, I know. It feels great to know what little it takes to throw principles away. Oh well. At least now I have the perfect protection against infection, because now I don't need to get tested anymore and don't need to quaratine if I came in contact with a Coofer.
Got Moderna after two doses of Pfizer, so far no effects besides the usual tiny pain you feel when you press on the injection site.
Knowing my luck they'll either stop all this bullshit in two weeks, or make everyone, including the boostered, get tested for everything again in two weeks. Either way, I'll be miffed.

To see my girlfriend I will:
a) Have to take a PCR test no sooner than 48 hours before arrival, despite having two shots.
b) Have to consider taking a third shot, because the travel rules are still in effect within the country and I will either have to take a fucking PCR test every 72 hours or pay upwards of 600 EUR in fines. Even if I manage to dissuade the policeman to issue a fine, I'll have to give him a little bribe.

I feel your pain, buddy.

I made this diagram of COVID-19's pathophysiology in late 2020 and revised it in April of 2021:

Now, as of a week and a half ago, ScienceDaily had this to say:

And here's the paper they're referring to:

Again, why did the FDA try banning N-acetylcysteine, a harmless amino acid supplement that raises glutathione levels?
That paper is really interesting, nice find.

My almonds weren't activated in 2019, but I have to say all this stuff has really updated how I think about my vitamins/health. I think for the better. The Autism Protects.

Edit: I was in the shower thinking. In that study you posted they talk about Glycine supplementation as well. Earlier in the thread when we were talking about supplementation of things like zinc and magnesium, many of those supplements are bound to glycine, eg Zinc Bis-glycinate and Magnesium Bis-glycinate, so indirectly people who were taking zinc and magnesium were probably also supplementing a bit of glycine.

Is it my imagination but by checking how fast the so-called fact-checkers debunk a new thing, it's like they're in panic mode? Here their latest one about the Pfizer vaccine.

The COVID-19 vaccine is not linked to neurodegenerative diseases, fact-checkers say
According to Reuters, there is no evidence that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, including Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 vaccine, lead to prion disease, Alzheimer’s, or ALS. A recently-published paper which made claims linking the COVID-19 vaccines to prion diseases or neurodegenerative diseases does not provide legitimate evidence, according to various medical professionals.

A little comment to help with comments:

All written comments should be identified with the docket number [FDA-2021-P-0938].

That’s all!

Not sure how the 48h PCR testing requirements even work these days, it's not like you're guaranteed to get your results in time with the amount of tests done. It's all immensely frustrating for sure.

Anyone notice how all the masked people at like the grocery store tend to come as a group and most unmasked people are usually 1 or 2. Kind of funny if you think about it considering the more people you bring to the store the higher chance of someone catching the coof and infecting the rest of the family. When we get to 1000 days to stop the spread, I wonder if these people will question their commitment to this insanity, my money is on no.

Lisa Iannattone said:
“Omicron is so contagious that it can’t be stopped.”
“We’re all going to catch it. It’s inevitable.”
“Omicron is like a natural vaccine, catching it is a good thing.”

Meanwhile on the other side of the world…

The responses to the Tweet are all 'Those stupid Americans and Europeans cannot handle a DAY in East Asia because they are upset about MAH FREEEEEEEDOMMMMMM!!!!!!!! That is the reason why East Asia is doing way, WAY better!!'

I am reminded of Patrick Henry (from the United States) saying 'Give me liberty, or give me death!'
Also, note tha the above are cases per million people, not deaths o rate of deaths. I do no think tha they ar even mtaking into account 'long covid'!

Get a new girlfriend. Pussy is pussy. She is probably cheating on you anyway. With someone who has a much bigger cock. And a darker complection. Named Jamarcus.

Stores will usually just pile hours onto employees who do not leave. I should know as I have worked in minimum wage since COVID, and this usually affects me. My current job signed me on to do around 12 hours a week. Recently a person left and some on vacation and that amount is soon going to be over 20 in a week. My old job at the pizza place is practically known for its wonky scheduling. I used to work maybe 20-25 a week while in school, and the now single manager there never gets a break. If you want cash, now is the time to work minimum wage as the hours are high.
You need to think that through more. It's rather the opposite.

We all have out price. Good luck.

When I took a paracetamol a few times, it barely did anything for me, whereas ibuprofen did the trick. Not a doctor, of course, but ibuprofen usually works best for me.
Can any medikiwis explain why I hate paracetamol/acetaminophen so much? It never makes my pain go away and it just makes me feel hotcold and stupid.

Not every medication works the same way on every person. Your genetics, from race to ethnicity to even individual genes can have an impact on a medicine's efficacy.
Nurses are always entitled know-it-alls. I don’t understand where that comes from. They are the secretaries of the medical industry. Imagine if linemen were in charge of managing power plants.
They're under-trained women around age 30 who are told they're just as valuable as doctors.
