I didn't remember myself until the 12th but that's because I've been feeling under the weather with an upper respiratory infection (sucks!! But at least it's not CoVid. Still takes a lot out of you, though...)

The 11th marked the nineteenth anniversary of our mother's suicide. It hit me hard when I remembered finally but I have to say, year by year it does get a little easier...until I remember all over again.

Child protective services didn’t keep any TB info from Aurora, they kept it from Misty. TB tests are pretty obvious. You get a shot and a bump forms on your arm. If the bump stays small, no TB. If it turns into a big swollen awful itchy thing, its TB. Kinda hard to hide that from the person whose arm gets all swollen up. Kid probably knew and is on meds (if it’s even real) and never told Misty cause latent TB is a non-issue. Poor kid probably just had a stomach ache from the antibiotics, told Misty during a junk food excursion and this happened.

Sinus issues suck but if she’s using a Neti pot she’s a dope. All that does is wash the bacteria from one sinus into another and can trap water up in there. And there’s nothing bacteria like more than pools of tepid water trapped in dark, moist places. (Don’t use Neti pots guys) So congrats Misty. You’ve made your problem worse.

What aggravates me most about the Aurora situation is the obvious narc behavior on display. When Misty had all of the children, Aurora was the typical neglected middle child in an already criminal neglect situation of all of them. Up until recently, Misty only really ever talked about Richard and Tricia, especially Richard. When she was thumbing through her old pictures of them, a picture of Aurora alone was hard to find. It was always Richard, and Aurora just happened to be in the frame. She would gush about how beautiful Tricia was, and oh, theres Aurora too.
Misty knows she can't get to Richard except in her fevered imagination, and that Tricia has made it clear that she is done with her, so now she is laying on the narcissist lovebombing with the one kid she can still access. These food and mall outings, these overdone righteous anger about her treatment in foster care, the emotional shows of love and support are not done out of actual love. It's all a show to get control of the heart and mind of the one kid who she can still get her claws in. The kid she wanted the least to do with when she had the choice. I just hope that Aurora's natural teenage cynicism sees right past this bs, and the neglected child who wants love realizes that this ain't it, and she doesn't go back when she ages out.

- Musty also specifies that having a dark sense of humor would get you kicked out of these "modern towns" she's fantasizing/hallucinating about, which is why LaMonte specifically is not allowed to move. Because cities totally have laws about what sorts of things you're allowed to find funny.

- Add Musty's teeth to the list of things that look like they haven't been brushed in weeks.

- Musty claims her own two suicide attempts for attention were her attempting to "escape LaMonte", despite the fact both of said attempts happened AFTER LaMonte left her crazy adulterous fatass self.
- The name Denise is dropped again; allegedly this was Aurora's foster mom, where these four OD attempts allegedly took place. I'm getting increasingly skeptical of this story; I can buy that Aurora may have attempted suicide after all the trauma she's been through, but Musty's claiming she did it FOUR TIMES before DCS intervened at all, and I just don't see that happening if a teenaged girl was repeatedly ending up in the hospital from drug overdoses. Maybe after the first time they'd let her stay, but after FOUR TIMES? I don't buy it. If there were suicide attempts, I think Musty is exaggerating the number to get more sympathy and attention (for herself, not her daughter, because like all malignant narcissists Musty believes her children are her property).
- Musty somehow tries to blame Heather again for Musty losing custody of her kids, a situation Heather had 0% involvement with, but again, facts and logic never stopped Musty from lying before.

Misty was long ago told by Aurora she isn't ever coming back to the shit shack, IMO. I think Misty's known this ever since she actually chucked out the massive hoard she gathered up into the second upstairs bedroom - so probably close to eighteen months, or more. Misty, in her madness, may have thought the TPR could be reversed if she finally cleaned the kids room - and when this didn't work, and even Misty had to accept reality, she rented the room out this fall.

Aurora would have been asked to weigh in on her own case at her age, meaning that Aurora was on board with her mother's parental rights being severed. Aurora was happy to move away and leave her old life behind her, and she's planning to stay where she is (it's only an hour drive from Marion to Ft. Wayne but hey, that's gas money Misty can't afford unless she steals moe checks from her daughter).
