Isn't is great?Cultural appropriation or some shit.
I watched the Conner clip when you posted it, and I watched the full thing afterward. I don't think he was being very malicious at all. Looking past British bluntness, he brings up a point that, as much as I defend the talent that Holo, PC, Niji, etc. . . have found, is valid. You aren't set for life, but you are set up for some success that is for sure. Branding matters. Look at Delutuya. In terms of her corpo career, it isn't that long or impressive considering. But she is raking in cash compared to most streamers. She will always be Aloe, and that name alone matters. She will always be the lost Hololive idol. みすみのはらわた is not Lulu, and she wouldn't be nearly as well off now if she wasn't in the past.View attachment 2890934
Look mum! I'm on the telly!
Also
>Connor CLEARLY says on the clip
"It doesn't matter what you put on your resume, even if you're a bad streamer; if you get into Hololive you're set for life"
Flamenco: He's not saying anything bad though.
This is why we don't listen to the ramblings of internet retards
Japan is just an American subsidiary, their fault for losing.Cultural appropriation or some shit.
The irony is that he is literally a corpo, quit the kadokawa support to trash taste and you have a group of soyboys with abysmal takes on youtubeLook, I think what he said was stupid, but the point he was trying to make, that corporation support like that is a massive platform, is right. His issue is that he discounts the barrier to entry, which for Corpos looks to be massive.
I'm not arguing that getting into a corpo give you a leg up vs your contemporaries - but that's the same as saying people who get into Ivy League Schools or into huge companies like Google are just lucky to be there because they are guaranteed instant successI watched the Conner clip when you posted it, and I watched the full thing afterward. I believe what happened is that Gura did invite Calli to disney the last time Calli was in the US, but the scheduling just didn't work out. If any members of Myth did meet besides Calli and Kiara, we would absolutely know for sure that they did.I cant quote the message but I'm pretty sure that Gura and Calli met in the US
Which is why he should've never opened his mouth in the first place. In full context he was trying to do the whole 'pull the curtain back and show you how the real world works' schtick. He said you could just put whatever on your resume as if most places won't at least check to see if your completely lying or not, which makes me wonder if he's ever actually had to put in a resume. I think if he sincerely apologized then that's pretty good, but I also hope he understands why what he said was braindead and has learned better. His issue is that he discounts the barrier to entry, which for Corpos looks to be massive.
>thinking people here watch JP talentsIs anyone autistic enough to grab all the HoloJP NYE outfits and put them together? I think the complaint that they all look too similar to one another is probably more to do with 10 outfit reveals in 2 weeks than it is the outfits themselves, but maybe I'm wrong.
Kimonos, by and large, are worn in a very strict way and only leave room for individuality in the pattern and accessories. Not sure what people were expecting in regards to stark variety.
I wouldn't say that, at least for Joey and Garnt. They had pretty successful channels in the past before the bookwalker support. They, as much as many wouldn't want to admit it, genuinely earned their spot. They weren't hired and they weren't recruited. They had channels and made a good deal later on as a collective from my understanding. The irony is that he is literally a corpo, quit the kadokawa support to trash taste and you have a group of soyboys with abysmal takes with barely any views
But that bit you mentioned on the Ivy's? Nah, it takes some bullshit, and half the people I met in those circles weren't worth the dirt they're made from. But, if you weren't a complete moron in your major, and aren't a total shithead, you can make it work wonders. Opportunities are the key to the game. These corpos are there because of extraordinary luck and extraordinary ability to see the opportunity ahead. Conner's remarks were out of line because he didn't extrapolate, but the reality is if you have corpo backing; you have the springboard.I'm not arguing that getting into a corpo give you a leg up vs your contemporaries - but that's the same as saying people who get into Ivy League Schools or into huge companies like Google are just lucky to be there because they are guaranteed instant success
Also regarding context, pretty sure they were talking about what people could/should put into their resumes for a better chance to be hired while Connor's answer basically boiled down to "lol doesn't matter, just apply for Holo and roll in $$$"
Especially if you are right leaning for whatever reason most entertainers are leftysIf you can only enjoy entertainers whose opinions and views are fully the same with you, the numbers will be so small you can count them with one hand
For me its just basic curiosity if I found out I'd make some kind of remark on it (like neat) and move on with my lifeDoes it really even matter knowing where Gura lives? I’m only asking because I keep seeing it being talked about more and more.
Mumei is texan? When did we learn that was that in the Shachi dox that was posted during her debut?Didn’t Ame bought her aunty a car sometime last year as thank you? At least we know Ame can drive as well. Since Mumei from Texas, she definitely have guns so hope her road rage did not escalate. Though those who double parking, full stop when green transition to yellow etc. deserve a special place in hell. I imagine she would road rage so hard if she ever come to California or god forbid Cover first recording office in NA being in LA California (most butts clenching traffic that mockery call LA parking lot)
I half expected someone to break out singing "I'm my own grandpa" during that
Good job schizo rabbit respect keep the lgbt soapboxing out of stream and you'll be gold here in my book
Just like with Nux I believe the public isn't owed shit all that matters is what the victim got and if Nux and Callie are satisfied with what they got then it matters not one iota what it was to usMy two fav are polar opposite when it come to SC reading. Suisei never read SC beside the one that pop-in and she saw it during the stream. Kson read literally every SC even if it take her 2+ hours every day. Personally, I prefer the former. Less strain on the talents and the fans don't have to stick around in fear of missing some random tangent. I do understand the feeling of wanting to acknowledge the donation though (not to mention it's very profitable. For some, It's major part of their income.) Maybe Lui's approach is a good middle ground, don't read out loud and waste everyone time but ensure the donator that she read it by written their name down and post in YT community page.
This whole "shit talk in public" then "apologize in private" doesn't sit well for me, but I guess drawing attention to something that happened months ago isn't good either. At least I hope he learn not to run his mouth in public when he doesn't really know shits.
Sasuga Calli her professionalism continues to amaze me rock on DadApparently, this happened...
During Mori's membership stream, someone decides to super chat her saying not to continue being associated with Conner as he's referencing this clip or this one IDK.

Then Mori responded to the super chat. (Disclaimer: This was paraphrased and I don't have the membership so I can't confirm if this was said and no clips are floating around so take this with a grain of salt.)

I was gonna respond to this with the ourobouros explanation but that I got thouroghly beat to so I'll just take this moment to rank the reveals for councilShort hair Mumei
This is not a drill

These animations a fucking adorable they have earned a sub for meMy favourite part about Council is how everyone bullies Bae for her aussie pronunciation, even though Sana's is worse.

Feels weird seeing this thread being shown on stream.Flamenco is live and talking about the superchat Calli got regarding Connor. Even provided the full Calli clip from the member stream.
I can understand where you are coming from about those clips not relating to what the Supa was saying. As those clips were the only ones I can find that seem to be what I thought he was referring to when he mentioned Conner. Such as the first clip that @RiverBear posted was the first thing that came into mind and the second clip was from the same thread where the paraphrase of Mori's stream came from. These clips and this Supa are completely out of sync
But all in all, good stream though. This guy (Deadmushi) saw one of those clips, misinterpret them like a retard, ran with it, then super chated Mori about this either to get a reaction or is a genuine retard who thinks that Conner sees the HoloEN girls as talentless and wants Mori to distance herself from him.
I still believe Connor only "apologized" (if he really did) to Calli because of pressure from someone or some people. You know how the British are, they never admit their own stupidity unless they're forced to. Its in their culture, their history. They love saying stupid shit and never admitting it's stupid
