General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

According to Fishman, Phase Connect season 2 is coming out in April with some tid bits dropping in the next month.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand the oil baron makes an appearance right at the end

Personally, I think Connor's take on Hololive is a hit or miss. Obviously this Br*tish individual knows what's he's somewhat talking about due to the fact he currently resides in Japan, where the Idol industry and specifically Vtubing, is where it's got it's traction to become of the most popular and decisive forms of media in the last couple of years. With Connor holding such a prestigious and popular podcast called "the Trash Taste podcast" with the hosts of Joey (TheAn1meMan), Garnt Maneetapho who is colloquially known as "Gigguk", and Connor Colquhoun also known as, CDawgVA due to his voice-acting career varying across much of the anime medium in Japan. The Trash Taste podcast also allows guests from differing sides of life to join in, in particular interest to this discussion, is Calliope Mori, who once was an underground rapper from the underworld, and is now a prominent Vtuber under Hololive due to her skills with the microphone. They have had Mori on for 2 podcasts, each with varying degrees of quality and questions, however, even with this idol who is the Cover Corporation, Connor still misunderstood her premise and finesse of certain talents when it came to his controversial opinion of which, anybody who joins into the ranks is guaranteed stardom, regardless of their talents or lack thereof. Obviously this individual is misinformed and perhaps did not grasp the concept of talent within Hololive, since a majority of them go through strict and rigorous processes of selection which they narrowly pass with thousands of participants with less, equal, or perhaps even more skills than the current Vtubing generations. Cover Corporation looks for what might intrigue either a niche of individuals, or a swiss-army-knife of talent with a jack-of-all-trades approach to hone in potential viewers. With this in mind, Connor is speaking not only stupid, but is spewing dangerous rhetoric which might lead other people to form a similar or worse opinion on the process of Idols. Maybe an underlying cause of this opinion is his close relations to another Vtuber who @ToroidalBoat and I have discussed earlier, Ironmouse. Ironmouse also happens to be a successful Vtuber with close relations to him throughout the months. She also is in a competitor company of Hololive, shamefully called Vshojo, which includes less than talented individuals with varying degrees of skill or no skill at all. Perhaps Connor was influenced by the company to make his presumptive statement about Hololive and especially in accordance with Iromouse, who he has close relations with? Who truly knows. This is a very divisive topic which usually boils down to mud-slinging and ad-hominems, but for me, I’ve reached a certain level of judgement on this opinion which you people here on this forum may or may not agree with, which is understandable, but in conclusion, Connor is extremely dumb and I would not have sex with him.

Which autistic redittor did you quote this from?
I’m not sure because I’m 99% sure @ToroidalBoat wouldn’t be included in a Reddit post nor would post in Reddit.
Calm down dude, I wasn't being literal. Just thought it was funny for you to drop the quick and edgy jabs for once and post a legitimate opinion, though you should hit enter more often. . . makes it look clean. Sorry if that hurt your feelings or some shit.

I think the work of vtubers can still be enjoyed regardless of drama or what group they're with, and as far as they're not pushing hot take politics (if they do that).

There's too much divisive politics and internet drama in Current Year, so it's nice when people can calm down from the endless outrage and just enjoy stuff.

post in Reddit
I don't even have a Reddit account (lol).

PC ports are really hit and miss, anyone supporting the steam version of FF6 is dead to me for example.
Funny enough the "legal" version is shit, but the pirates fixed all the issues including the abhorrent font Square used in the game

Pirates have a weird boner for Square because they always have to come out to fix their messes like it happened with Nier Automata

Finally a new batch of mans with voice changer

Edit: apparently some NijiEN like Millie and Pomu got their membership fucked because Susan is ruining the website again

Vtubing has it’s ups and downs.

Good.

I don't think I'd be at home on Reddit overall.
I have an account, but I don't post (that Karma shit is weird). The site is good for technical knowledge and DIY fixes, which is what I mainly use it for. Regardless of the grating culture that they have created surrounding entertainment, you can get plenty of useful interaction on the sub-reddits for, say, MSI, Destiny (for strategies and Day One coordination), or even Concrete (https://www.reddit.com/r/Concrete/) which was useful for me when working side jobs. Those communities have better interactions than the cesspools you see regarding movies, anime, TV, etc. . .

Edit:
Reddit also has this little gem: https://www.reddit.com/r/FiftyFifty/
My team and I used to play this shit all of the time. Basically, keep going until someone bows out. If you can snake your squemish friends into it, you can have some fun.

We are becoming more and more indistinguishable from r/Hololive.
Difference that will never change is that those spergs have no power here regardless so they can just be ignored
I saw this from her.
There is something hilarious about the abject terror that instilled in her that MiB scene lives rent free in my mind too mousey
I will give the nijifags the fact that they have the better deal that they have to walk in less eggshells than Hololive, maybe when Holostar EN is implemented, someday i hope

0/10 needs more Legend of Dragoon
It's hardly a rrat when we've already seen her being interviewed about idol business as Keeki. She was so meek and scared while asking about collabing with a guy I almost expected her to have a heart attack right there.

I mean, vtubers are kind of reliant on simps, who can literally throw money at you, but on the other hand simps easily turn into fucking schizos, especially when they have frequent contacts with other schizos (/vt/ is a prime example).
He was talking about A-chan at that part

God damn man the lack of formatting on that hurts my eyes that said I did like what I got to reading until my eyes gave out

As annoying as I find it, it is oddly refreshing to see the thread go back to the usual random Kiara belittling and Calli-doomposting after all the stupid drama over nothing that’s happened more and more often. At least with the regular stuff it’s easier to tune out.

I can’t really blame Kiara for second-guessing herself for things given the shit she got dragged through in her early career. As silly and absurd as the thoughts are, she probably can’t help but assume something shitty is going to happen again to ruin what she has with Hololive. That sort of nagging feeling in the back of your head, so to speak.

There’s only so much reassurance one can take.

I can already see it.
Someone will say something a bit too flirty and Kiara will be blamed regardless if it was her fault or not.

I sometimes feel bad for the chicken.
