General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I mean working out and so on should still be possible or is it just that kind of work attracts the couch potatoes who already aren't the fittest ones?
Its way more work than it seems, I'm honestly surprised certain talents can still keep up their gigs and careers outside of the Holo-sphere. I can only imagine how limited their free time actually is.

Do you guys think streaming regularly is really that bad for your health? Botan talked about her doc visit and laughed away her bad liver function readings. Her doc actually recommended her to quit her job (since she has no days off and thought she works under a black company) or her health will suffer more.

Hmm, she talked about this in a member stream a week or so ago and mentioned that she probably won't talk about it in public unless something worsened. I hope she just changed her mind and felt like sharing and not the alternative.

“Why did you wake up one day and want to start a harem of 2D women as a business?” etc.
He did answer that one, but the answer was a bit unsurprising. It was something like "I saw Hololive clips one day and thought it was interesting, and the next day I read an article about how much money they make. The day after that, I filed papers to incorporate the company." As he mentioned in other answers, he literally had zero experience with online video streaming before going into this, which makes it all the more remarkable PC has had the success that it has had. But on the other hand, I suppose having a strong background in more traditional businesses helped them avoid some boneheaded mistakes like we've seen from VShojo for example.
Haachama literally demonetized herself for the entire month as a bit (to read more non-superchat comments and focus on content creation)

Her manager must be pulling her hair out right now.
As strongest idol as she is I'm sure she didn't do this with manager approval. And this was just for the rest of the month, not for four weeks starting from now, right? It might be hard to believe, but January is already almost half over…

If I were her I would have continued to collect SCs but just pledged to donate them all to a normie charity or something, but perhaps that idea has its own hang-ups to avoid something like St. Jude's Hospital refusing the Healstream money.

He said his background was in web analytics, and it was after seeing their analytics that he filed the next day.

Nope, she said 17th February. Screenshot from her video, translated by herself:

Official reason is she wants to focus on content rather than income, as well as pay attention to non-SC comments. "Lore" reason is that Youtube keeps forgetting to demonetize her (after flagrantly doing things like reviewing hentai) so she's doing it herself.

Forgive me for not being knowledgeable about the cute oni, but does she have a life outside of hololive?
College + unspecified random health stuff that her roommate was dealing with pre Holo. Has always had sporadic streams since debut but internet people get inexplicably angry that someone they never watch anyway doesn't stream full time. Used to be a rrat she worked for family company too but since she's barely spoke to her parents in like a year that seems unlikely.

Last year she has been more offline than normal though, partially justified but also probably just doesn't feel like streaming half the time. Randomly started doing Twitter "Spaces" lately that make no money instead of just streaming a Zatsudan like a fucking normal person and raking in supers while you go on tangents with chat.

There's a half-dozen HoloJPs RTA'ing diagnosed throat/voice conditions to the point of hiatuses and literal surgery. One of them had to drop her fake voice to continue streaming.

Selen and Millie have both said this week that their voices have been shot from streaming too much and they plan to address it, and Enna had an interesting point in a recent stream that the voice isn't built to talk as long and as often as streamers try, and that tender balance is why she doesn't release covers very quickly.

So yeah, if you're streaming all the time you're going to have a higher chance of health issues: especially when you're having to be loud and 'chaotic', putting on a voice, streaming for long sessions etc to which V-Tubers do in droves.
