It... is not. It is not mathematical proof, rather it's a case of "If X number of these are true, then an incumbent is likely to keep/lose the white house". Whether those things are predicted accurately is a separate issue, but it is not seeking to mathematically prove anything. Just to establish the base criteria of a successful incumbency and what can or cannot lose it.

That would require Red and Purple states to go along with it. Universal mail-in ballots... aren't a thing. States voluntarily did that 'due to covid'. There was nothing that made them have to. Hell, constitutionally nothing could. And courtesy of how much of a clusterfuck 2020 was, the fact the virus is getting less lethal, and a general and significantly rising opposition to further measures....
Well, this kind of stuff made -New Jersey- almost go Red. No purple state, let alone Red, is going to sign on.
