The Slaton Sisters / Amy Slaton & Tammy Slaton - The 1000 Pound Sisters

Gucci? You ain't even Goodwill!
Goodwill? She ain’t even Salvation Army

Simpletons. A fifth bottle of whiskey is about 25 one ounce shots...
As far as pot goes, it's a sin that she's paying $50 for some brown crap in Kenfucky.
If she’s still paying $50 for brown crap in Kentucky she really is retarded. When I quit smoking 2 years ago you could get top shelf chronic in southern Indiana/Kentucky for less than $300/oz all day

Pretty sure it was Amy/Michael’s van and they just didn’t want her to shit in it overnight.
It’s gotta be a TLC provided van. It’s exclusively used to haul Hammy’s fat ass around by literally everyone

What is this pink Hummer H1 driving around the parking lot?

I would also like to note that eating healthier on a budget is actually possible. But it requires effort in that you have to sit down and budget and then cook the food (like canned and frozen vegetables.) You can buy multiple cans of soups or vegetables for the price of 1 or 2 boxes of cookies.

Pasta is carbs but spaghetti or noodle soup is healthier for you than pizza rolls, but you actually have to stay at the stove to make pasta dishes instead of just heating up pizza rolls. You have to chop things to make salads and soups.
If your budget is limited are you going to make a salad or cook a frozen pizza? Which one will you be more full after eating? If you’re exhausted from work are you going to make instant Mac and cheese or cook up a meal? I agree with you. It’s definitely possible, but it’s really not that easy to do for every meal because people really on a budget easily get more calories for less when they buy processed food. Processed food is also engineered to appeal to humans more than is even natural sometimes, people in bad situations use it as a pick me up because it’s addictive. It gets harder the more kids you have. You can’t have soup for every meal. I think it’s been shown that the main issue is lack of education from a young age about food—and you’d think it’d be common sense, we all did the food pyramid, but sadly it’s not AND a bad example from parents leading to life-long bad food habits. But most of all it’s the processed food itself being too convenient and unnaturally very palatable/addictive. Excuse the info dump, I just read a book about this exact topic.

Relating to this episode and the preview for next week, seems like Tammy will finally acknowledge that she’s desperate to ignore her issues and choose delusional temporary happiness over health and not dying. Whether she will do anything about this seems unlikely.

True she may have access to good bud but omg the shit she drinks!
Malibu rum is very low proof and nothing but sugar.

At the end of the show, it was pretty clear she is giving up and going out in a blaze of glory. She doesn't have any other attractive options at this point. I can't say she's making a mistake. Get all fucked up and die and let your family move on without you. If the Slatons were Eskimos Tam Tam would have been sitting out on the glacier by her lonesome long ago.

That's what I've thought for awhile now. Whoever is driving Tammy around is using that van. Plus at least half of the back passenger seat has been removed to accommodate her. Whether it's Michael, Chris, Tisa, or one of the sisters driving, with a camera strategically mounted in/on the front passenger seat, if that van is on the move then Tammy's on the rear floor. Even Rob had to take that van to drive Tammy home. When Michael has had to race Amy to ER previous seasons or their little babymoon vacation, they've switched to a standard sedan. When they went on the family vacation Michael and Amy had to rent the second van.

Speaking of the family vacation, it would be interesting to know how much extra the siblings paid just so they could include Tammy. The extra van rental, the trailer rental, the wheelchair rental plus ramps. Then it cost them extra to rent that motel room for her...and eventually they had the cost of Rob renting a car to come and pick Tammy up, which was left with the family as he had to take the van to get Tammy home. It's ludicrous the amount they put themselves put for such an ungrateful sibling...and yet Tammy can frame it in her own mind that everyone else should be grateful that they don't have to do more. I hope we get a good idea next episode of how long Tammy manages to remain at home after Amy and Michael leave before the current inpatient/nursing home saga begins.

While I agree with you that eating unhealthy is normally EASIER (not cheaper) that doesn't explain away morbid obesity.
Cheap, prepackaged, calorically dense food is potentially a main factor why people are overweight now. People just don't eat "whole foods" anymore. I agree.

However, people Tammy's size. That's not the case. To get to her size you have to put in hard work. I know that's funny to say. But yes, morbid obesity to 600 plus pounds is HARD WORK. you have to consume thousands and thousands of calories everyday, every week, for years with minimal activity. Tammy had to basically lead the most sedantary lifestyle while eating all day every day for years. She had to eat like eating was her job. She had to clock in early in the morning. And eat till late in the night. Every day to get that many calories in her system. Just having the resources to eat that much is hard enough. But having the time and will power too?
I mean, just look at nikocado and chantal. Chantal livestreams 24/7 and you see all the shit she eats. And she's only in the 400s. Nikcado does like 3 mukbangs a day and he's like in the 350s. Tammy has a good 2 hundred on both of them. More than two hundred.
I really do agree with everything you say. But I think people really just don't understand how difficult it is to reach 600 to 700 pounds. It's pathetically gross and but also in some ways impressive. She is pushing her body past it's limits. That's why people say those kind of weights are a mental illness. Because you don't "oopsie" yourself into 600 pounds. It takes a lot of fucking dedication.

She has the mind of a 12 year old and the drinking habits of a 12 year old.

If they were Eskimos, she would at last be of use to her family when she provides them a lifetime of blubber for their lanterns.

I am guessing TLC fully funded the trip? Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but it’s my understanding the network pays for shit like that so they can then undercut what they give them as payment for being on the show.

Exactly it takes work (no pun intended) to stay that big. You will see their true eating habits on my 600 pound life. Which is amazing that these people who can't work seem to get all this money for fast food which can be pricey the way they eat. One of the women on 600 pound life said she was eating about 8 to 10 thousand calories a day which still amazes me.

Not even in the Arctic you can find a glacier strong enough to hold tam-tam.

But that was the reason he was denied surgery previously; or have I been lost in the timeline due to time gap between series and real life?
I think we're both lost in the timeline. In alot of the recent videos, you can see filled ashtrays in all their houses. Tammy's house for example had an ashtray filled with butts in a video posted a couple months ago. Its really fucking annoying honestly, this gap between the show and reality. Tammy is literally bedbound right now and we don't get to see any of it, they still releasing old shit.

Also, I don't know why but its repulsive seeing Tammy laugh and smile. She doesn't look happy, she looks like a fucking evil slug demon.
