The colostomy bag one gets to me a bit, as one of my friends had to get one after having bowel cancer, and while she accepts it as part of her life now, she genuinely would rather not have it at all and be able to function like everyone else does. I feel like there's certain disabilites/prosthetics etc where its perfectly fine to never feel okay with them, and constant pandering stating otherwise just causes more harm than good.

It never fails to amaze me that the SJWs themselves only understand a group of people through a stereotypical lens. Latin America is incredibly varied with countries that are almost 100% full blooded European to countries that are almost 100% full blooded Native American, with countries like Colombia and Mexico being predominantly mixed. You could easily have a Columbian family with people of both a fair and dark complexion.

White Americans and native Europeans are nearly homogeneous based on DNA studies, excluding the margin of error (being about 5-15% in DNA ancestry testing), especially those of Anglo descent who have historically had a very strong in group preference. So if a kid randomly comes out dark it’s probably from recent admixture that the family would be aware of (even if they deny it, like Sanda Laing’s mother). That is unless you don’t consider Celts or Meds white and are referring to the occasional ginger popping up.

Reminds me of a stupid argument I've seen tossed around in the social medias that you can't use the term "anti-" for anything other than "anti-black" (so, for example, you can't say "anti-asian") because black people apparently invented the usage of the prefix "anti", but most importantly, it commits the ultimate sin of lumping black people in with evil (read: white) oppressors because black people cannot ever be in oppressive positions over other races or cultures because they are the bottom rung most oppressed ever.
It's amazing the mental gymnastics involved with never holding black people accountable for anything.

What whitewashing is: changing the ethnicity of the character to what is commonly understood as "white"
What whitewashing isn't: changing the character's skin color to be lighter (since skin colors vary widely across races and ethnicities) while still keeping their original ethnicity intact. For instance, there's more to being "black" than just having dark brown skin.
