There seems to be a subset of fans that are really just looking for attention and use superchats and events to try and make it about themselves. I guess it’s notice me sempai syndrome in some cases but It’s really hard not to notice how often stories like the superchat idiot earlier and this idiot come up in the fandom.
Believe me, I'm aware. Deadbeats (Calliope Mori's fanbase) was (and probably still is) full of people thinking they were hot shit for regularly blowing hundreds of dollars per stream, but of course you see it pretty much anywhere else too.
They just like the jiggle physics. Vtuber's are absolutely atrocious at playing games sometimes and the banter between Vtuber to Vtuber or Vtuber to chat is not unlike anything we've seen.

You're right, but I think this is exponentially worse for anyone under the age of. . . maybe 24? Zoomers really. I think that older generations have, for all of their failures, a better upbringing in terms of exposure than the latest teens and adults.
At this point, I wouldn't expect the main thread to follow VShoujo. I never personally followed them all that much, but I did drop in on Ironmouse and Nyanners every once in a while. After the Nux thing, Nyanners leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I didn't care enough about Mouse to keep going after seeing how much of a trainwreck their company was at P.R.
Better to save the VShojo sperging for this thread, I'd say, considering that the main thread is allergic to negative spergery surrounding commonplace topics (or topics that become commonplace due to the frequency of their mentioning, i.e., "doomposting").
Vshoujo sperging isn't really all that entertaining, especially when it means you end up having to defend NuxTaku. I look at the guy like as spider in a barn. Kind of disgusting and I don't like touching it, but it can be useful and entertaining in the right circumstances. But that drama is over and done; and at least served the purpose to show that Nyanners really is as self-centered today as she has ever been, Veibei is still a mean-girl clone, and Mouse lacks spine (but at least seems to have a bit of a heart). Plus, even you have to admit, the normal negatice spergery is so rehashed at this point it is grating. . . and lasts 10 pages. I said as much about the Kiara shit. . . by rewriting what I wrote over a 2000 pages earlier. It's endemic.
It's refreshing when it's done in moderation and when one picks their battles appropriately, that's why I said it's sometimes better to keep one's mouth shut. Surely she isn't totally ignorant to the flack that some of her associates get, and when it pertains to those matters, ignoring the peanut gallery is a better look overall. There's a far more in-depth way of phrasing this that I currently lack the mental acuity to go off on a tangent about, but it basically boils down to that whole mindset people like her preach about "ignoring the haters" and showing them up with your work ethic. Nobody wants to end up as another prime example of "When keeping it real goes wrong".
