General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

To be fair, I actually think Calli came off looking pretty bad from this and I like Calli.

If this was any other Twitch Thot scolding someone who dropped $100 to give their opinion and then said "If you want to criticise me, speak to my management", everyone would crucify her. Is the superchatter kinda cringe? Oh yes but she's not better.

The Conor thing is bad. He's forced himself into a lot of Vtuber communities by being the Vtuber hater and wants attention. He was shitting on Hololive, his implication was that even average streamers are popular in Hololive (which is true, but still). He did this all in public. Calli saying he walked it back only in private to her and her friends doesn't mean anything to the general public who have no idea. Conor is a drama queen, he likes attention and he has made it work for him but he kinda just hovers around near them until they notice him now.

Streamers with huge audiences usually only get criticism in supechats because it's the only way they'd ever see it. No one complains when Metokur gets it, or Ralph, or anyone like that. People are seriously acting like they are upset Calli had to go through something like this. It's a negative superchat. That's it.

People are just giving her a lot of leeway because she's a popular Vtuber and there is a lot of simping going on. Imagine if Pokimane did this, would you feel the same?
Pokimane would have sperged out and then passively aggressively demanded submission from the "offender", Calli simply said don't try to neg her with super chats because you will be ignored and your money sent to the person you are trying to get her to not like.

So I was lurking on /vt/ and stumbled on a discussion that mentioned the roommate of Takanashi Kiara and Morino Peari (formerly Hana Flores) had some kind of beef with one another during their time as idols in Japan.

I've done some looking in earnest and found that it's a discussion that board has had for months, with varying levels of embellishment, but it seems there is no smoke without fire. I'd appreciate any help finding WHAT the beef actually was if only for the sake of preservation and ease of access.

More and more, I realize why we ended up with a thread mocking Vtuber fanatics. Exactly because of shit like the Conner thing and people on Twitter trying to police how Vtubers should act. Christ.
Vtuber fanatics aren’t that bad. I’d like to say they’re very enthusiastic and passionate about Vtubers including here.

I pray to to god the day comes when we stop talking about connor, not because I hate the guy but because I just don't give a shit.

Who cares about the Calli stuff, genuinely. I hate Trash Taste as much as the next guy, but I still admit that I kind of enjoyed the video DemonDice did with Sydsnap. And I dislike Hime Hajime more than anything.
I just hope one of them does something really stupid, like adding an aka supa "policy" or somehting to escalate things out of proportion.
Hopefully it's Connor's turn, because truth be told Calli being retarded is kind of nothing new, so I hope Connor doubles down in some way.

I don't see the reason to revive old drama other than to expose questionable behavior during an on going drama

You don’t understand, orange chicken must be constantly shit on, just like there most be constant doom-posting about Calli. It’s how the thread works.

I do, it's to archive and have it on hand in case it ever becomes of interest. I'm looking for information, not petty jabs at one or the other, or for people to shit up the next 5 pages dunking on chimkin.

Taking stock of 'old drama' is...literally what we do. It's why people shat on Nina and Pantsu Party, or why I had to go and read Undertale fanfics to pick apart the weight of the Vox accusations.

Shouldn't it go on the Vtuber lunacy thread since /vt/ is digging up past information on a current Vtuber that has no particular interest to them at all except further their shit-talking and autism?
Okay, this is a legitimate reason to hate Kiara.
Day old opened soda sounds atrocious. Maybe it's an Austrian thing?

There's a difference between looking into something out of interest, and reviving drama. Just because you're looking into something old you heard from hearsay doesn't mean that you're intending to sperg out over it and revive it.

Either way, google doesn't seem to be returning anything of relevance as of now
