Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The most entertaining part to me is that so many of the "controversial" posts in that thread are mostly people who voted for Biden simply asking legitimate questions about what's even going on or offering the very mildest of criticism about him lol /r/politics is like a social experiment to turn an entire subpopulation of people into people as retarded and rabid as Bill Palmer.
This is your regularly scheduled reminder that Reddit literally sold /r/politics to Correct the Record / ShareBlue / "American Independent" and it is literally ran by a DNC PAC and a legion of literal downvote-bots and paid shills.

Oh, the nay was Schumer himself? Must be an odd senate rule thing which he has to vote against it for. Nevermind me then.

Addendum: I am not terribly familiar with the rules of the federal senate. I presume then that he had to vote against it for whatever purpose lets him try a rule change. So still going onto the filibuster rule change vote.
IIRC he has to vote against it so he can bring it up again later.

Had one of my coworkers explain it to me. His vote is irrelevant there in that he is a leader. The important thing is that the vote be at least 51 to one side. Which lets him claim that the minority party is obstructing the majority and to propose a rule change. But it has to be at least 51, the tiebreaker doesn't count here. And he can't claim it if the senate is gridlocked 50/50.

On the plus side, Arizona's Kelly might be done after tonight. He should've painted himself more moderately like Sinema.
He's an open China puppet whose anti-gun lunacy stems from his wife nearly getting rinsed from one. But he and she are both okay with her being paraded around to advocate against guns. Plus, he's BALD and FAT.

His fate is so sealed that only person he can beat is likely fucking Brnovich.

So do they just seethe for a bit now and then actually vote on the VRA or could this shit get delayed? I'm not very smart at most things but I'm clinically retarded when it comes to rules regarding shit like this.
