Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

So, Psaki’s job today is to take back basically everything Joe said. Good luck with that now that the media is refusing to memoryhole the Admin’s mistakes.

Agreed completely. There’s no way Biden just so happened to end up hung out to dry on stage, AND have the talking heads all ready to attack him with his own words afterwards instead of doing clean-up duty like they have in the past. The Dems have a plan going forward, and running against Biden as well as the GOP going forward is part of it. “Never let a crisis go to waste”.

I’d been under the impression he was either high off his own farts or being an asshole... and Obama has been in both of those positions no small amount of times, but it seems we’d all not noticed his skill at understatement with that remark.

I know the public's memory is short, but Kamala's history as a corrupt bootlicking prosecutor presents plenty of hay to be made for republicans.

Depends on how bad the heat starts to get to her.

What’s really going to be telling is at her next press briefing. If the Press Corps really start going at her over Biden’s own words and not buying her bullshit spin instead of playing ball with her as usual, I think she might leave early. Even rats know when it’s time to flee a sinking ship.
