US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Reminder that John Wilkes Booth (a Democrat) murdered Lincoln after the civil war, right when Lincoln was going to spend the rest of his Presidency rebuilding the South and heal the rift in the US. This singlehandedly gave us he carpetbaggers, Jim Crow and the KKK. Whenever someone in power is trying to actually fix something they seem to get shot by some no-nothing dipshit.
Lincoln had plans like returning the freed slaves back to Africa.

John Wilkes Booth never got support from former Confederates and was shocked to find out the Southerners were shitting on him.

Right, so the IPSOS poll is just shit. Entirely online, no vetting for accuracy, basically just "Does that many people exist on the census", with absolutely no proper weighting or compilation.

Addendum: "Margin of error 4%". Right, leaving aside that's nearly twice the industry standard, I am still calling bullshit its that low.

Addendum 2: And a quick review of their polling says that I am right, its off by as much as 5% on average meaning its a full two standard deviations past and thus considered absolute trash by anyone who knows how statistics work.

I could never imagine worming up to a bunch of people for your own interest of keeping a spot. The whole "democracy in peril" crisis went from a meme to an obvious stated assertion with no benefit.
What @AnotherPleb said, and to quote what @Gehenna has said before, Republican pols generally care more about money than power, while Dems are the opposite. If they can get some pork for their district (that they can skim from), they'll be more likely to go along with whatever the Uniparty wants. And why not? It's a cushy job, their staff does all the legwork for them, and the most important thing that most Congresscritters do is show up to vote. They make far more there than they would in the private sector, especially if you're like Nancy and you engage in insider trading.

The reason this entire concept sounds alien to you is because you're a human being who has a soul.

That was pretty much my first thought as soon as I looked at the details. I posted it here because I figured that if such a shitty, Democrat-biased poll could actually be relatively close to the average (they're only 1-3% off from the averages on RCP and 538 ) it must indicate the real approval rating is way lower.

Reminder that Nate Silver ranks Ipsos in the same letter grade as NBC and Rasmussen btw.

You and me both. When I have a good answer I will drop it here, but I really don't. I can identify what happened, but the who did it and 'fucking why!?" have yet to be answered.
Two possibilities:

1. It was simply a fuckup. Biden's administration cultivates incompetence. No one was fired for Afghanistan, the shipping crisis or the border situation. The modern left has a strong belief of "we're the good people so whatever we do is good, and if something goes wrong our hearts were in the right place and that's all that matters." The press conference was planned to go differently but a set of mistakes behind the scenes caused it to play out the way it did. Maybe something went wrong with the transmitting system for Joe's wire and the "woman" who does their tech support was busy dilating.

2. Biden himself made the choice to do this. He may have wanted to do something to put himself out there and make his case directly to the public. He understands his poll numbers are tanking and wanted to personally take action to fix things. After all, he's been in politics for 40 years, if there's one thing he knows it's how to speak. His handlers can tell him it's a bad idea but they can't stop him from doing it because hey, he's the President of the United States. It's not like taking Grandma's car keys away.

D+9 bias, Biden is still only at 43% approval with 52% disapproval. Imagine how bad it's going to look when Trafalgar's next set of polls come out.

So when the least popular political affiliation right now is Democrat, the most popular has been Independent for years, there's polling out that shows Republican/Lean Republican actually is favored over democrats for the first time in decades, they have to do Democrat +9 polls to coddle his balls and he's still 43/52.

That poll that had him in the 30s is the real measure of it. Also, there's very little enthusiasm for him. Very weak enthusiasm, A marks, strongly support, he's a strong leader, etc. He's the most unpopular president in decades in the sense that he's widely unpopular and nobody is gung ho for him. Does anybody in 2022 really feel the way about Joe Biden the way the rabid Trump fans felt about Donald Trump in 2017 and 2018? Not a chance!

Since I wasn't clear enough, I was sitting in the seats watching it live since I had to be there for the filibuster vote for one of our clients and thought "Might as well watch". When I said he didn't have a wire, I meant physically there was not one on his person. So that's more than just a tech issue.

Two is the most likely so far based off of evidence but I can't help but think "surely -somebody- could have stopped him?"

I worked a full-time night job at Target to pay for college. $11 an hour. Almost nobody had an ID, and the idea of voting for any of us was laughable. The Republican/Center policy of preventing poor people from voting is extremely blatant.

Most States require an ID to even work. If people working there didn’t have an ID, how were they even cleared to work? Background checks and all that. No matter how sketchy the place is, they always have a means of throwing the cops at you if you pull some shit.

Maybe, but I wonder why tho?

Isn't easier to ride the Trump populism wave, re-invent themselves as populists as well, kinda like Ted Cruz did, and then gather power on their own under Trump's influence?

Because playing ball with the dems ain't working, and at one point, one must get enough of being called a racist "fash", at one point the republicans do have to say "fuck you" back.

I guess the RINOS get their kick-backs by being the "losing with dignity" guys, but do they really wanna be losers forevermore?
They literally cannot. Many of them have been in office longer than most members of this board have been alive. Most of them have accomplished fuck all in that time and the reason they've remained in their positions is the same reason the terrible office-holders in the Dem establishment have: by ensuring their constituents have literally no other choice, and by throwing everything at anyone or anything that threatens to upset that paradigm.

They're not capable of riding the populist wave because they've literally never fought for their own side, and indeed, are hated by their constituents.
Their duplicitous nature and backstabbing of their own is well-known and well-documented.

They were, and are, perfectly content to lose forever as long as they get their own, but like the Dem Establishment types, their time is running out.

Option #3: It is beneficial for Joe Biden to be universally viewed as a liability so that the stock market doesn't tank when he is murdered by the CIA posing as terrorists. The mystery at this point is if it's going to be foreign "terrorists" in order to justify a war, racist white nationalist "terrorists" in order to go open season on the civilian population, or a combination of both, like how they tried to tie McVeigh to the Iraqi Republican Guard. Think about what happens if Biden gets Minecrafted by the spooks. All his fuckups are gone, and the GOP can't point to them. Patriotic sentiment kicks in in Dem favor. Massive authoritarian legislation gets humped through congress. Harris gets a halo. She's about as young as a boomer can get, so maybe she says she's willing to let Hillary run in 2024 with a second term in the VP position. There's no downsides here.

Meanwhile, they can't allow Trump 2, and that's where things are heading. They also need a catalyzing event to reunite the populace. I mean, we're talking about people who are totally fine with post-birth abortion, where they induce labor in a woman, take the premature infant and ship it to a laboratory alive, so that its tissues are fresh when it is vivisected. You think they wouldn't sacrifice a corrupt, perverted tool, with no family connections? The son of a blue collar worker, and father of two junkies and a corpse? Who's going to stop them? Dr. Jill?

If there's an argument against it, I'd be interested to hear it.

EDIT: Joe even said that he's going to go out and meet with the ordinary people more. I wonder if that's his idea...

Republicans are funny because despite having a political stranglehold on America since the 80's they are somehow still oppressed.

The democrats weren't smart enough to nominate somebody worth a damn, you think they are capable of plotting a coup? Motherfuckers actually think Black Panther was a good movie. They can barely even speak without getting into stupid arguments with each other. They have to be re-potty trained every other week or they forget. A motherfucking coup?

Like, man, could you have picked a dumber and more impotent group of people to be the masterminds of some sort of supervillain esque plot? Christ if those people are dangerous to you then you deserve to be couped, you weakling
You're confusing the useful idiots with the ones who direct the useful idiots...
God, I could tell you so many stories of my time in the Dems back when Clinton was running. It was a fine ol' time and for all her faults (and they were legion even then) she was infinitely better than her contemporaries amongst NY's establishment class. Part of me feels like even she got changed for the worse by the ongoing issues plaguing the Dem estabishment - she's always been a bloodthirsty opportunist and political shyster, but she knew how to manage optics once. I specifically remember back when she was running for Senator, at a time when the DNC was running 300-dollar-a-head fundraising dinners, she was actually campaigning in person and having barbeques at public venues that were both free and open to the public.

That isn't something you'd see her do.... Ever now, and while I mostly think that it's due to the fact she has no need to, part of me can't help but wonder if she wound up trapped by it. I can't any sympathy for her if so, given the shit she's pulled since, but it is something to think about.

I also remember the exact second I swore never to back anything she was involved with ever again - it was 2005, and it involved Jack Thompson.
She did better optics because she had better PR people. The rise of the internet age turned most PR hacks into lazy, hack-ier hacks who think twitter is the real world, so that shits out the window.

She was able to do those things because we weren't a yet so far down the low-trust society shithole. She and her ilk helped make it so, so she's not getting any credit for it in my book, but you make your own decisions.

I have no idea if any of what I just said was true, but I can't sleep, just smoked a king-sized cone by myself, and its sounds plausible to my dumb ass. Which leads me to beleive I can do the job at least as well as her people have been doing, and I don't even like the bitch. Anyone who thinks power is their birthright is a danger to a country like ours and should be exiled.

Don't know if it means anything, but sleepless you after a huge cone is a lot more coherent than the President of the free world after taking all the brain-enhancing drugs that mankind knows.

Well, its good smoke and I run short of sleep enough to be accustomed to functioning this way. Sativa dominant hybrid, because I don't like couchlock. I certainly feel more coherent than what I watched earlier. I should run for office. Don't worry America. JustSomeDong is on this shit now. A chicken in every pot and some pot for every chicken.

I mean, he's close to or at rock bottom in terms of popularity at this point. What did they have to lose by sending him out there on his own?
The popularity of Joe Biden doesn't matter. (((They))) know their "voters" don't care and will vote blue no matter who. Anyone with a working brain know if Joe Biden doesn't die by the end of 2022 he's gonna win reelection in 2024.

I'm seeing a lot more negative local news stories all seeming to come out now. Perhaps journos are off the leash and have a taste for blood now that the weakness is undeniable?

If he dies in 2023, does he still get to vote for himself?

Conflict and war is just a part of the end times my friend. It isn't that any one thing is happening that makes me feel this way. It's that it's all happening at pretty much the same time on a global scale for what I would dare to state is the first time in world history, while for the first time in history, almost the entire world has at least heard of God or in some way been offered a path to salvation.

Edit- and I'll point out, I actually genuinely hope I'm wrong about it being soon. I like to say fuck and make fun of troons a lot more than God would probably like if he showed up tomorrow.
Conflict is happening all over the place for the first time in world history? What's going on now has nothing on the world wars or the Cold War. The world's industrialized nations spent the first half of the20th century trying to annihilate each other, and then spent the next few decades with the specter of global nuclear annihilation hanging over them.

When it happened, I wasn't particularly horrified about January 6th because that's what America had become.... Riots, as much as I loathe them, were a thing that happens. What I took away from it was that the right had sacrificed the moral high ground. We could no longer point to the riots of 2020 and say "Fuck those people".
No one saw the right as "ceding moral high ground" on 1/6. People with a brain understood the incident was a clown show where the only person who died was a protester killed by a cop, and not remotely equivalent to angry mobs killing people and burning entire city blocks. Brainwashed NPCs who gobble up the 1/6=9/11 rhetoric always believed anyone on the right is pure evil, with the news coverage just confirming their views.

They wouldn't do that. One of the most important codes the elite adhere to is that members of the elite are not to be harmed unless they start acting squarely against the interests of the other elite (i.e. JFK). They follow this rule because it protects all of them. Otherwise if they do that to Joe, who might be next? Who might they put on the chopping block for the sake of expediency? None of them want that question asked, let alone answered.

Which was my point.

Removing Christianity from government, which led to gay marriage, is part of why the West is in the state it is.

At the very least, defining gender as being based off biological sex and immutable, and banning any forms of CRT from public policy.

Both of those can be done and aren't really that extreme (believe me, I want plenty of things that are way more extreme, but those two are a good place to start). The reason they haven't been done is because the GOP has cucked to the idea that "you can't legislate morality", and so liberal NGO's and big businesses have stepped up to push their own morality.

The issue isn’t gay marriage, the issue is about the gov’t deciding what you do in your private life, away from others. If it abolished marriage licenses in the first place, making it a registration instead, then gay marriage would have been just an oddity.

Note that all pride parades are about making the private public. Note that all degradation is happening along that logic. Remember that for the longest time, to see any ”18+” content you had to jump through hoops, know the site from a friend, etc. Then Twitter made it easy and public. Even Facebook made it difficult for a while.
